One thing talked about by the broadcasters (including Charlie Spoohauer- whom I like) was they reported that Lowery is considering playing Dillard at the 2-guard next year, and Surles-Brown as the point guard. They said Dillard is "more suited as a 2-guard".
Is that really what Lowery thinks? Is that what the fans want?
Playing at point guard his first 2 years, he's lead the MVC in assists by a wide margin, was the Freshman of the Year, and is among the leading scorers last year and again this year.
And Anthony Booker, the other one of SIU's remaining recruiting class of 2008 that was claimed by some as the best recruiting class in decades (Torres Roundtree and Ryan Hare are already gone), really has fallen off the depth chart. Despite a 45 minute game last night, Booker only played 8 minutes as a reserve. He lost his starting spot 5 games into this season, and has played only 15 combined minutes in the last 3 games.
With a freshmen playing ahead of him, and Lowery's penchant for recruiting jucos (his top target is Jesse Perry of John Logan CC- a played very similar to Booker) is there any reason Booker would stay at SIU?
