  • Bradley Women win 63-55

The Bradley Women's team beat Drake today in their 7th Annual Pink Zone game. The game was a little ugly in the first half with a lot of turnovers and an 11 point lead for the Bulldogs but the Braves rallied and trailed by just 2 going into half-time. The second half was a lot better and the Braves pulled ahead and looked to stay in control of the game until a 12-2 run brought Drake within 3. The Braves held on for the victory and are now tied with Creighton for 2nd place in the Valley. They also hold the tie-breaker over Creighton after beating them twice this season.

They play their next game Thursday at Illinois St.

    Bradley Braves article...
Drake led by as many as 11 points in the first half, but Bradley rallied from a halftime deficit for the second consecutive game to top the Bulldogs 63-55 Sunday at Lorene Ramsey Gym. With the victory, the Braves moved into a tie with Creighton for second-place in the standings at 10-4 and completed a sweep of the regular-season series with Drake.

I also tried taking pictures at the game. If any of them came out well, I'll try to put them online so you guys can take a look if you want.

If the turnovers don't do them in (25 yesterday, 22.5 average), they can go a long way.

Certainly an excellent way to ring in the new Arena for next season if they can hold on another few games here.

There were 30 combined turnovers at the half! LOL! I was talking to the refs about it they couldn't believe it either!

Just looked it up and I believe the Bradley women are 18-4 when playing at ICC....

Maybe we should move the men's team over there when the women move into their new home next year
