  • NOT EVEN A REMOTELY SIMILAR EXAMPLE...
that kid posted an "expletive-filled post" on his Facebook aimed right at the coach and his staff and openly criticized the coach and the team...

this is soooooo different...plus that kid was NOT even a starter...and in two seasons as a receiver, the guy has a grand total of 17 catches ..
plus this is already Holland's seventh suspension (in two seasons), so TB has a way to go before even getting close to that one...
I wonder how many more chances he'd have gotten there had he been a starter....

By the way, nacho, remind me how many games suspension Brandon Sampay got when he got a DIU and underage drinking??

I do not know if it is or not. However, I do not believe we should do something just because someone else is. Bradley needs to be at a higher standard, including this board.

#1- I never noticed other teams fans here.

#2- If they do come here, I would assume they wanted to talk about BU

So you don't mention school names, but this is okay?

Bradley fans should be above this.

        • Ok, BradleyJD...dude...what is your hang up. I don't log in or post all that much...but it seems that almost every thread I read you are up Tornado's...ummm...funnel cloud more than anything else. I don't want to speak for the rest of the folks here...but I will say that you are annoying the crap out of me.

I come here to read about Bradley basketball not shuffle through pages of you trying to discredit the mods that so graciously provide this board for us.

Now...what I really wanted to say:

If TB was told not to tweet and he twittered - then the punishment was probably already laid out. If not, this has got to be the silliest thing I think I've heard about getting a suspension for.

          • All we are doing is talking about similar incidents to TB's...It is just a comparison to how other schools treat these problems so we as fans don't feel like TB is being treated unfairly or not hard enough.

Pretty random distribution of punishments for these types of situations.

            • You've got *****s on other boards claiming this could be considered a federal offense of sexual harrassment! Talk about exaggeration and making a mountain out of a molehill. Then again, he's a redbird and besides having an inferior education, he has motive to try and ensure our 2nd best player is out of uniform down the stretch. Yes, it is embarrassing, but in the grand scheme of things, this is NOT a big deal and it'd better be over with for good, not only with TB's behavior, but also his suspension. Play ball!

Everything was handled accordingly and appropriately. Onward and upward.

Thanks LG281- I want to say that there are many Bradley fans like you who read the board but rarely or never post (just check the stats at the bottom of the front page of www.bradleyfans.com ). I hear from a lot of those members and visitors frequently by PM and email. The messages I have received are 100% on your side.

They think this whole issue with Taylor Brown has been blown way out of proportion by people who dislike Bradley or dislike Jim Les and wanted to make more of it than there was, even comparing it to criminal acts! No doubt they will continue to pursue their agendas. Those few who see it that way are certainly entitled to their opinions, but it appears they aren't too tolerant of the majority opinion, and continue to flood the message boards with their anger and vitriol, and shout down other opinions.

As far as we are concerned here, this story has played out as far as anyone cares anymore, and we have more important topics related to what goes on with Bradley on the court.
So since we have received so many messages, 100% of them asking us to limit or stop the continuous over-the-top negative, bashing of TB, Bradley, and supporters of Bradley, we will be closing this thread and moderating a little more tightly regarding any further discussion of this topic.
