According to the BU Athletic Code of Conduct, if TB gets suspended again, doesn't he get suspended for the remainder of the year?
Isn't that only for violations of the Athletic Code like alcohol violations?
I don't think it applies if a suspension is related to violation of team rules, but could be wrong, we'll see.
Taylor cannot continue to keep getting into trouble, he is letting himself, his family and his team down, he has a chance to be something special at BU but will not if he continues down the same path.
Great post and point real fan.
I believe is exceptionally gifted and can do many great things. I think he has to be held to a certain standard however.
I hope that someone, anyone, can help him understand the great gift he is being handed and straighten him out.

this infraction MAYBE merits coming off the bench, nothing more. If we suspend a guy for tweeeting while UNI gives 3 games for a DUI, something is wrong.

BU is NOT UNI. If he was previously warned I have no problem with the discipline. I would have a problem though if it was anything more than one game.

I agree.. that is unless he was given a previous warning by the staff...
see my post on the other thread about TB.

Pretty apparent brown does not care. If he did he would stop with Twitter etc n just play ball. Btw the Twitter posts from Thompson are not exactly encouraging. His attitude towards his education is terrible, maybe his overall attitude is equally bad. This whole thing is just another step in a really disappointing season. Les is going to have some real decisions to make in the very near future.

If a person thinks some of these guys are !d!ots, Twitter removes all doubt!

Its NOT the fact he "tweeted" its the CONTENT of those "tweets".
Chitown...did you read them?
Your at work holding a board meeting and someone is snapping pics of you and then goes on to say some of the stuff HE said about you.....sorry if he comes off the bench I'll be very dissapointed.

He needs to sit. PERIOD.
But we are not running a charm school here.... There are other forms of punishment that can be done for this that won't affect the entire team and are way more suitable for what happened. Unless he was given a warning previously, TB should come off the bench...

DC i'm a huge TB fan but I sense from your post you know and do not agree with Dogs. When is enough enough. JL should sit him and from your post I get the impression he will. We need TB to have any chance of success but he needs to grow up or move on. I hope he grows up. He is so much fun to watch and we haven't had anyone on campus with this much talent in a long time.

You are reading this 100% wrong. I know, and I agree with whatever the coach's decision is. I do, however, think there has been a whole lot more made of this than it deserves. I have followed BU players' twitter accounts for a couple years, and I have seen much worse. And there are far worse examples elsewhere, too.
As I said above, if anyone can cite a law that was broken, or a University code, or athletic code violation, please do so. But if not, then the worst we can accuse TB of is rudeness, crassness, and immaturity. Sounds quite similar to stuff that 90% of kids do.

I think Jim stated he broke team rules. Other than that I do not know.
I also do not think that 90% of kids are receiving free rides either though.
Certainly you understand that as a representative of the University and the basketball program, the players must be held to a higher standard.
