But in an ideal world, he can pull a Kevin Kruger and graduate in 4, and play for his dad without sitting out in year 5. Kevin Kruger played 4 years at Arizona State, graduated, and played a 5th year for his dad at UNLV and went to the Sweet 16. What a story that would be!
I thought the NCAA wanted to close that odd academic transfer loophole that benefited Kruger. It was something about instantly transfering if your current school did not have the major (or masters?) you wanted.

I think you are right. I believe the NCAA did remove that rule.

I would think this to be a tough situation for the Les'.

If the program was humming along it would be a no brainer, giving TL a scholly or not, for him to join his dad at BU. With the program seemingly stuck in neutral, his addition to BU, particularly with a scholly, would be scrutinized and every decision involving his playing, and his results, focused on by fans and media. I wouldn't want that for my kid.

Joining your Dad, in a business where coaching changes can occur, also adds to the difficulty of a decision.

Perhaps TL joins a JC for a year, establishes credentials, lets BU program rise, and then joins dad at BU for rest of career one possibility.

I have to agree with your statement. It's probably best for all involved if he took a scholarship to a different (non MVC) school. I haven't seen him play, but I have read far different evaluations of him than what I've read on this board.

On a worst case scenario: TL goes to BU; BU gets worse and changes coaches; TL transfers. That would be uncomfortable for a lot of people but not that devastating in the end. It's probably a medium-risk situation. A coaching change can happen at any school though.
