illinois state just pound the crap out of MSU after going into the half down 5. They're a heckuva team and should be sitting on the bubble. I know the horse has been beaten well beyond death but it's really too bad about that schdule.

Winning by 4, is "pounding the crap" out of somebody

They *were* pounding the crap out of them. Was watching the 13-0 run they put on to start the second half. Was a very nice display of strong inside game coupled with good perimeter shooting.

sitting on the bubble of what?? A bubble team for an NCAA bid??
Are you implying if ISU fails to get the automatic NCAA bid, that they should take their 100 RPI and 340 non-con SOS and beg for an at-large bid??

No team in the history of keeping RPI's has ever gotten an at-large big with credentials like that, and I suspect it won't happen this year.
ISU didn't get a bid lastyear with an RPI of 47 and didn't get one the year before with an RPI of 37!!!

Pretty sure he means they should be sitting on the bubble because they are a good team and if they played a better Out of Conference Schedule, and won those games, their RPI could be worthy of sitting on the bubble...

well I read the same thing that T did! If that is what he meant he needs to edit it so we all can get the same understanding you did. ISU's SOS is as bas as it gets. They would have had to win the MVC regular season to get any consideration.

I dont think anyone in the entire nation argues that point...

I think that is pretty obvious... he said..

The two sentences go hand in hand. If you quit reading after the 1st sentence, then you miss the point...

Read it again with the first sentence that goes hand and hand with the second and third! Needs to be re-written so it comes across as it was intended. What are you thefish7's public defender? Last I knew thefish could handle this situation pretty well, by himself.

Sentence one goes with sentence two. Sentense two goes with sentence three. But sentence one does not go with sentence three

Lol. Nacho got it right. Stupid iPhone makes me lazy when I post using it, sorry.

What I was trying to say is that ISU is a legitimately good team and as complete as any in the valley, and that it's a shame they aren't on the bubble because their schedule is pretty much the worst excuse for an MVC schedule ever. They are on no bubble becuase the schedule sucks, which is how it should be. Just trying to say that I think they may have been a bubble team if Jank had put together a schedule like Bradley's.

Even as a Redbird fan, this is only true to a point. Yes, our sched BLEW, that's obvious. But not even including that fact...we've had plenty of bad losses to negate it anyway. We're a much better team than our record indicates and it's a shame that the team hasn't played better until late but that's how things go sometimes. Sure, we seem to be figuring things out now and FINALLY playing good, team basketball but it's too little too late. We'll be lucky to get an NIT bid and it will take a win or 2 in STL to even get that. I'm a diehard ISU fan and homer, but also a realist.

Hard to say that it might be too little too late because being hot going into the Valley tourney could end up getting you into the dance.
