  • Can't believe we lost to.....

...it USED to be "I can't believe we lost to InSU, DU, UE, MS.....You'd hear it all the time from many of us fans.

Well, I think the tables have turned. Other than UE I think opposing fans can say that about us. I can't believe Bradley beat us.

We have done nothing to distinguish oursleves and have become a perrenial Valley NON factor.

The more I look at it I'm not at all surprised InSU beat us and look poised to for then to jump over us as far as league recognition.

Right now the top is shared by the UNI's, CU's SIU's with InSU creeping on up when it comes to league respect.

BU, DU and MSU are a push with UE bringing up the rear.

    Sad.....

I cannot disagree with what you said there. I, too remember thinking we would never lose to InSU, Drake, etc.

    Those days are long gone.

Just like the days of being a good home team are no more. I remember sitting in Carver watching then Memphis State break a long winning streak we had.

Now 2 or 3 games is a long home winning streak.

I don't think so... maybe a bit exaggerated.
Can you show instances of all these teams that can't believe they got beat by lowly Bradley?

It's all good, the kids are great, Jimmy's doin' a great job! Who needs timeouts? Let em play through a 20-2 run!

Indy St. seems to have a good system no matter who's on the floor. Yes, I thought that them being down 3 players would seriously affect them, but they still looked like a good team - especially down the stretch.
Despite the loss, I really liked the way we played in the last 10 minutes of reg., but they just couldn't miss down the stretch.

Like I said yesterday, a lot of credit has to go to their coach Not surprising from where he came from and who he worked for

We have only finished higher than MSU twice in the last ten years and they fired their coach.

Well...only Bradley, Evansville, and Wichita State have never won a tournament in St. Louis, and both Evansville and Wichita State have won conference championships since the last time Bradley won anything...

Therefore, we're the last combination of not having won a conference championship, a tournament, or both.

Bradley has never finished in last place under Jim Les, which is where Missouri State finished last year.

Yes, and they also finished in the top 3 - 3 times since Les has been here...

I think I'd take a last place once at this point to get into the top 3 that many times...

I would as well. Again, this is not about 1 year. This is about a pattern of .500 conference finishes, poor STL appearances, and the lack of player development and program growth.
