Seriously, how many people did not watch the other team?

They could have built another arena with the bricks UNI threw up all day.

Bradley did play well, and brought tremendous defensive energy. . .and that did cause some frustration for UNI. . .but let's be real here. . .UNI would have lost to anybody in the upper half of DI playing the way they did Saturday.

I don't deny that UNI was ready for a letdown sooner than later, and that it's better for a team to be lucky than good sometimes. But you have to give Bradley credit, which you did, for disrupting UNI's offensive flow, and for that I say Bradley was the better coached team, at least on that day.

If you are going to lay blame on the coaching for a loss, you have to give a coach credit for the win, even if a certain degree of luck was involved.

BU has players go down and its a good excuse for us fans to tell others why we $uck.

INsU has THREE players down and they just keep plugging along....

              Why......

              YOU decide.

BU had 2 starters go down last year and they were out a total of 64 games missed!
...and yet BU finished with 22 wins and 10 conference wins.
Indiana State loses 3 guys but none for the whole season and thus far for a total of only 31 games - LESS THAN HALF of the games lost to injury BU had last year, and they won't end anywhere near 22 wins and probably won't get 10 conference wins.

The only contrast or comparison I see is that Bradley lost MORE player/games to season ending injury BY far last year than InSU will this year, but still did better than the Sycs will.
The only people who keep dragging up the word "excuse" are those asking this quesiton that I have just answered.

Check my last poll about reasons BU doesn't win more. Injuries are brought up all the time.

Maybe Bradley did lose Warren, but I don't recall them losing Warren, Maniscalco, and Theron Wilson....

                    THAT would be comparable IMO...

......doesn't this strike you as odd....
many, many posts go exactly like this....

"someone say why we don't win as much as I'd like to..."

Then a response says... "we have injuries"

then .. "stop with the excuses!!"

so if you ask, and get the answer you were asking someone to give, then quit complaining!

With records like 13-13 and 8-8, people are always going to complain....

Especially when we haven't won a championship of any kind for 14 years....

Funny how that works, right. People want to win??? Who would have thought that?

I think alot of BU's problems this year ( as in past years ) is playing too many guy's out of position. It has become very obvious JL has put these players in a position hard to succeed and yet expect's their athleticism to produce positive results each game. When the truth stares you right in your face, you can blink and look away or correct the obvious and move forward. This team has the individual talent to succeed as a group but must be given that chance by playing in a position they can best produce. I understand you have to play with who you have to fill a position but JL's recruiting needs to address not just getting an athlete but a true basketball player for the right position's needed. I think having to play WE at the 5 is an injustice to him. How many games has WE been plagued with fouls, having to sit on the bench because he is playing out of position ? There's nothing that can be done the rest of this year but looking into the future, I think JL needs to address what is obviously holding back BU's progress in playing the right players in the right positions. I do have to state that I am a JL backer and do not wish for any coaching changes, just maybe a change in his philosophy,we are not the Phoenix Suns.
