Indiana State is 6-2 at home in the MVC this season...the losses were to the two top teams. They needed this win to have a realistic shot at avoiding the play-in round. So why is everyone shocked that we lost? This one had letdown written all over it after the UNI win, and the first half did not disappoint in that regard. A great 2nd half effort came up just short due to some clutch shooting by the home team at the end of both regulation and OT.
Teams 3-9 are all pretty much equal in this league, and team 2 isn't much above those next 7. UNI losing and UE winning are big surprises in this league...nothing else is unexpected.

We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Good game...
The Sycamore squad is as resilient of a team as I have ever seen in any sport...doesn't matter who they are playing they will play and compete against anybody...As the headline in the Statesman tommorow reads....."THe Hulman Center was cold because someone turned up the AC" of course referring to Sycamore leading Scorer Aaron Carter...

Maybe none of these losses mean that much, since this year nobody was going to beat out UNI. Let's hope our guys don't lose confidence, because I believe we can beat anyone in St. Louis.

Imagine BU going into a game without Maniscalco, Warren, and Brown available...would you be confident about our chances?
Simply can't lose this game to an overmatched Sycamore team (on paper) if you have any delusions about being a player in the rest of the Valley season...

Normally I would agree, but looking at the 3 Sycamore games without those players, I would argue that they played at least as well without them as they did with them, and maybe better. They nearly won at WSU, squandering a big lead late, lost at CU, and easily handled DU at home. Heck if they can pull the upset at ISU next week, they'll likely be playing for the 3 seed in their finale against MSU.
