I asked for a LONGER bench (JE,EM,AT,MK) before the game and JL goes shorter....AND we win.
Don't look for me on the staff next year.
To me it all depends on how and who he uses. I think DSE is great at what he does. I think if he is asked to do a shorter list of things that is great. Yesterday, the decision to use less, created more positives.
I just wonder if it can work in STL.

A long long time ago starters would get at least 35 minutes a game and only get a break for a regular timeout as there were no tv. timeouts every 4 minutes, I think if you condition your players properly they should be able to play 3 games in 3 days as long as they get the proper rest in between games.
Any minutes from SS is too many...he is slow on defense and allowed too many rebounds...I haven't looked at the stats but remember atleast 3 TOs.
I agree..he has zero value being out there. I'd rather take the defensive liabilities in Milos and AT and eat some minutes from them than put Singh as first off the bench. SS should have been banished to AT's spot months ago. Anyone who thinks differently knows nothing about basketball. Who cares if he's a nice guy..great! Jim's job is to put the guys out there that give us the best chance to win and that does not, has not, and should not include singh. Nice guy got 6 years education paid-that's a good parting gift!

I agree real fan. Think of the great BU teams of the past and there were always 2 players with 35+ and another with 32+. I'd like to see SM, AW, and TB log 35+/game, with WE and DSE at 25+.
Right now AW and SM are at 34 mpg in conference so that's about right. TB is close but needs another 4-5 mpg. DSE and WE both need more, however. WE has been hurt by foul trouble and DSE is picking up more minutes every game. I like where things are headed leading into St. Louis. Might we pull off a shocker? (literally )

LMAO!
I'm all about a shorter bench if it gives us a better chance to win but doing it all season is not wise because eventually all that playing time will catch up unless you are made to run all day. JL in his days played huge minutes but he could run all day!

Bradley's next opponent, Indiana State, only plays 7 people now. Four guys had over 34+ minutes in their last game against Drake. It'll basically be the same guys on the court for both teams on Tuesday night.
I know we are coming off a major win with basically a 6-man rotation, but wouldn't you want to just throw everything you have at InSU's short bench and try to run them out of the building? Lots of guys, lots of rest and keep things very high tempo?

I wouldn't count on seeing Milos or AT if that's what you're saying.

Not sure about Milos at this point, but I would like to get AT and Edge some minutes if at all possible as I hope they'll also get a few in our STL run.
Recall that during the run in 06 to the championship, Heemskerk and Adams who didn't play many minutes got in during the St. Louis trip.
Big difference with that team, they went 8 deep not counting Adams, Heemskerk, or Crouch. Only 2 players on that team averaged more than 30 minutes with Sommerville at just under 32 and Tony Bennett at just above 30.

The other reason why we should be able to get 35 minutes out of our players is that the officials are not calling as many fouls like before so as long as you don"t commit dumb fouls you should not have any foul trouble.

Depends on which crew you get...
Pollard for example last I checked had called the 2nd most fouls in all of Div 1 per game.
