An like Sommerville, TB isn't really a true 'sophomore'. He played half a season at a JUCO, sat out, then transferred to BU. Not trying to split hairs, just sayin'.

Congrats for getting your team ready to play the top team in the conference on Saturday or atleast getting them ready to play in the second half. Very good win at home, but none of what happened Saturday will mean a thing if this team goes to Indiana State and does not come back with a win.

Please have this speech or whatever you gave them available for both halfs on Tuesday. I truely would love to see this team play a full 40 minutes of consistant effort on Tuesday.

Even with only 3 conference games remaining there is a chance if this team can just find a way to be consistant and play hard for 40 minutes for something good to come of this season.

Good post. Great win, great treat for the fans on alumni weekend. That was fun.

But, one game does not make a season, and it doesn't make up for the colossal failure that our performance at home has been this year. You can point to the home failures as the singular reason why this season is a failure. 18-7 sure would look bubble-licious right now...

Perhaps, but relative to what expectations of success are not only this season but in general at BU, 5 home losses is a colossal failure - Especially when you consider who the losses were to, and how we lost those games. We weren't expecting to be Evansville this year, were we?

When you compound the fact that we're .500 or so road team (which I think is pretty good), I think it even further substantiates that our home performance is a colossal failure. Maybe I am being dramatic, but Saturday just proved this team could have and should have been competing for this league's championship and isn't for the reason stated above.

When you have expectations like Bradley has with its program then losing 3 conference games after having double digit leads in 2 of the games and Ill throw in the losses to Loyola and Western Carolina then yes I think the term colossal failure is appropriate.

When your programs expectations are to survive a season or if possible win a couple of games and only win one game thats disappointing but not a colossal failure. I am not sure Evansville has to great of expectations.

Anyway all of our games are water under the bridge, have to look forward to Tuesday.

I only base expectations on what we have been told about this team by its coach and what we have seen and been told in talent. I really didnt and dont care what was predicted, I want to base my opinion on what has happened on the court.

But when you have double digit leads at home in 4 games and lose all 4 and 2 of those in conference the term is applicable towards the season.

Bradley holds those leads this season is completely different. The eye test looking at each game individually tells me this season has been to this point a failure simply because this team has had in its own grasps the chance to exceed everyones expectations.

If that is their expectations then sure its a successful season.

But see bugregshu I do not care about any other D1 team, so what happens at those two schools or any other is of no concern to me. I am concerned about Bradley University and thats it.

My expectations for the Bradley University Mens Basketball team have been under exceeded and that expectation has been under exceeded simply because we have gone on our home court 5 times this season and lost 5 times. My expectations coming into this season were more then 5 home losses.

I expect us to play hard nightly, compete and play intelligent focused basketball... those also have not met expectations because we have not done all completely even for 1 40 minute game all season.

BB. Taylor was enrolled but never played at the JUCO. He was injured, thus he left school and took a years hiatus from college baskeball before coming to BU. That is the reason he gets 4 years at BU.
