I have not been the biggest supporter of Jim Les since he has been at Bradley. But i will say that this was a good win for Bradley! My biggest problem with Les has been his lack of emotion. Players follow leadership and he has not been providing any up to this point. It was nice to see that he finally chewed out his team like they rightfully deserve!!! I will be even more impressed if he can carry on this leadership to Indiana State who in my oppinion will come out firing so we had better be ready to play.

    Good win Jim Les!!!!
You cant expect to win when your playing not to lose!

Can't say as though I agree with that. JL has a lot of fire on the sideline, just ask any official. He was extremely happy and excited after wins in the NCAA tourny in 2006 and over Illinois this year. He has a lot of emotion in my opinoin, you do need some stability, what do you want 3 technical fouls every game?

Agreed! Les has PLENTY of emotion. What he does with that emotion and how and when he uses it might be a better question. Obviously, he channeled that emotion effectively today.

Sorry guys i should have rephrased that... Braves4life said it perfectly! He does have alot of emotion i just think it is misplaced. Like when we have a big lead and he is relaxed. Or a play makes 2 or 3 bad plays in the row and we give him a pat on the butt and keep him in the game.

Merf must have came back and gave the halftime speech! Obviously it was not JL.

Nicely coached game. Excellent 2nd half and just whatever he did to make the offense work was great. This is what we need more of...offensive prowess. Our defense is there we just need to get smart and not panic on the offensive side and outscore them!

                Great game by BU

I'd have to believe JL told his players at half time to step it up so he wouldn't have to read posts from the JL skeptics on BradleyFans.com again.

JL critics have never shied away from complimenting the team, players, and coach when the team performs well, and/or wins. Similar to the Pro JL folks, we also reserve the right to say one game doesn't make/break JL.

This was a great game today for the Braves and JL motivating them to win in the second half. Hopefully the Braves will remember this one till the end of the MVC Tournament and their championship. Nothing would make ALL of the Forum posters happier. It isn't about JL, it is whatever it takes for the Braves to win...If JL can finally make that happen, great. Sign him up for life.

Well said AZ BU Fan! Les CLEARLY made the halftime defensive adjustments and OUTCOACHED Jacobson today.

Les did outcoach Jacobsen. To not call timeout when we cut it to 32-30 was just plain dumb. For the 2nd time all season, we came out of locker room after half with a plan and executed it nicely!

No doubt we made the adjustments today and made the plays down the stretch, today. I think that is the frustrating thing.....what we would be talking about with a win like this if we could have taken care of business at home all season.

Coach Les deserves all the credit in the world for a very well coached game today, much like he did against Illinois. He also deserves much of the criticism he has recieved this year from many on this board because there is no way a team with the talent we have should be sitting at 13-12 (8-7) after a convincing win over a second top 25 team (Illinois was 22 when we beat them).

With that said, I hope he is able to lead the same year-end charge we've seen in years past and hopefully make a run in STL. Post-season success is all that matters and we still have a chance to experience some.

From what Warren and Les said, a majority of halftime was filled with a very intense profanity laced tirade. He called out players and wanted accountability, someone step up and be a leader. Les also said that they did very little X's and O's work at halftime, it was mostly just an intense, in your face pep talk.

Bradley hasn't been losing by much at halftime this season, perhaps Les has been working on to much strategy and 2nd half game plans and not enough motivational speeches. Lets see how they respond after the half the rest of the season.

We'd be talking NCAA tournament bubble, no? Just the home games...nothing else...that's 5 games against subpar to mediocre teams at best and we could be NCAA tourney discussion worthy.....yes I'd say frustrating is the perfect word.
