An NIT bid next year is not acceptable. Mediocrity will not be rewarded with more of the same. Though BU has a rich tradition with the NIT, from 1957 on, participation in the event has ALWAYS been regarded a disappointment.
Don't lower Bradley's standards to fit an agenda or just to feel better about the way things are.
If it's a step as part of a process of growth, ok. . .but next year with Sammy, Andrew, and Dodie as seniors, settling for the NIT will not, nor should it be enough.
Also, just making a 96-team NCAA tournament would not be enough. 2 wins would be a required minimum in the tourney.
