yup - it has blown every 600,000 years of so, and it is due to blow again soon - maybe today...
we took our trip to Yellowstone a couple years ago to avoid the impending disaster..and if that doesn't get us, then an asteroid will, they have something on TV all the time about that, plus they have all kinds of stories on what the earth will be like once people are all gone...

When i was younger I visited there with a friends family....we were walking around on the board walk things while the ranger explained that we are on top of a volcano that could erupt soon.....I said, "Why the bleep are we here then?"

I am somewhat paranoid about tornadoes, lightning, airplanes and i guess supervolcanoes

I laugh because I grew up with a mother that would check every window and even look into the closets before we went to bed. Talk about natural disasters! When I told her I was moving to SF she went immediately to church, lit a candle and said prayer so that SF would not drop off into the Pacific. She still reminds me to put together my earth quake kit and to not get to close to the ocean for fear of tidal waves.

That's why my box spring is on the floor and mattress on top Seriously, in my work life I went into hundreds of homes and only saw a couple times part of a basement stacked with canned goods and water bottles, I guess they're called survivalists or maybe budget shoppers. I never have more than 2-3 days of supplies on hand, starting to think about it with some of the things going on here and in the world It wouldn't hurt to have a months worth of canned food and bottled water on hand.

BG10, I see the post you're probably talking about. I'm surprised that one of the moderators didn't take it down??? Don't put anyone on your ignore list, it's interesting to read what all of us have to say about everything.

Why should I not put anyone on the list? It's only one. I'll still see everyone's opinion just not the one that is most ridiculous and agenda driven 75% of the time....the other 25% are actually good but I can live without the other. I'm thinking it could make the board more enjoyable for me.....maybe even for him too sometimes lol.

By the way I've already done it....it's only a small click away to undo it.

Now the problem is figuring out what other posters to ignore to "get the full affect". If you know what I mean.

that's odd, I wonder why someone would need a device to help them ignore something, you mean you don't have the ability to do it on your own?
