Post Season Tournaments

I understand why many fans would not want us to play in one of these again. But remember, in a short time they are going to be the "new" NIT. I could see the coaches and staff wanting to have a relationship with one of these, so that when the NCAA doesn't come calling in the future, we are seen as more of a lock for them. Kind of like we were with the NIT before the NCAA took control!

Exactly. I'm not sure why we should be so high and mighty to say we're not interested if it's not an NCAA-run tournament.

If my opinion is what you are asking-- no. I would have no problem if they declined. But I love college basketball. Even last night's game, though a tough loss, was a great college basketball game. Fans can appreciate these games, and find enjoyment in watching the competetion.
If Bradley chose to play additional games, I'd likely buy tickets and watch them.

Well said. I will be there as well and would also have no problem if the school declined. There are people in far better positions to make that decision than me!

If it helps us recruit a real 5 I say yes, otherwise right now I really would not care. On the other hand though regardless of what happens I follow this team thick or thin and am always hoping for the best. As Bradleybraves said,"If the kids want to play and it wouldn't be a significant financial loser, then I say play. If they'd rather go on spring break, I can't say that I would blame them either."

Exactly! BradleyBrave has the best reasoning here, IMO. However, these tournaments have done NOTHING to help us find a 5 the last 4 years SFP. I don't think this year will be any different.

It was "supposed to" help our freshmen last year, like EM, TB, and DN (who transferred). TB didn't play much, and while EM got some good post-season experience, it didn't help him much for this season.

It might be beneficial this season for WE, DSE, JE, and maybe MK.
I'd rather see another few BU games on TV (or listen to them) than to watch the NIT with BCS schools getting all the coverage.
