They know how to close out games...something they have done repeatedly all season....just the opposite of our team. 15-0 run over the final 6 minutes tonight until the meaningless Drake 3 at the end.

Nice win by UNI. Drake is back to the form they had at the start of the conference season- they are playing awful, and can't score- 48 points for the game.
I don't know about UNI. They certainly are dominating the MVC. They are projected (by Joe Lunardi) to get a #6 seed, and play someone like #11 Illinois. I think they will be 1 and done in the NCAA.

I agree. UNI is the best in our conference but taht isn't saying much this year. 1 and done is almost a certainty. Now that they've clinched, I fully expect BU to win Saturday. We've been close 3 of the last 4 times we've played them. It's time to get over the hump.

UNI will be a tough out for whoever they play in the NCAA. I think the best way to describe them is the most impressive "unimpressive" team. They don't seem like they are that good, and they don't wow you with size or speed, or anything really, yet they always win.

I agree with this assessment of UNI.
Last night they won on the road despite most of their best players having bad games. Kwadzo Ahelegbe had only 2 points, Dunham had 0, Eglseder had only 8 points, and Adam Koch lead them with 12, but was only 4-10 from the field. But they got good production from their bench, which usually doesn't score much. Some how they find a way to win just about every game. But the scrappy teams like this usually don't last long in the NCAA tournament.

I agree. I think they'll get shafted on their seeding even if they win out (as most MVC teams do), maybe get by the 1st game, but probably run into a Big 10 or Big East team that plays their style, only with much better players, and they'll be out. But, here's hoping that we're pleasantly surprised and they can win a couple of games for the MVC.
              Onward and Upward!

You gotta tip your hat to this team. They simply know how to win. They win every close game. I have been at BU for four years now and never seen us beat em in Carver. That's about to change I look for Jacobson to be rumored in a few job openings this offseason. This guy really knows his X's and O's and seems to get a lot out of his players.

I disagree with your assessment of Drake. They were within a possession of taking out both Bradley and Illinois State on the road just before last night's game and scored 65 and 68 in those 2 games. Last night, they had the lead with 6 minutes to go. Scoring 48 against UNI is not surprising...in 10 of their last 16 games, UNI has allowed 52 or fewer points, and no one except MSU has scored 70 against them all season.
