It seems a female coach could and would be able to better communicate with today's players. Most seem a little more sensitive then in years past! BTW..Pat Summitt is one heck of a coach and I would bet she could coach as well as any man out there. Her teams play at a very high intelligent level.

You seem like pretty big BU homer, are you going to go after the next guy because he's not the immortal Jim Les? I highly doubt that you will...
No.....I'll support whatever decision is made by the people that are in position to actually make the decision.

I'm just saying, if JL is such a bad coach then why would the next guy get off the hook by not being as successful as JL by year 5? As long as we win the MVC, he's ok? Where did Drake finish up after they won the MVC? I would personally rather be where we are than ever finishing at the bottom of this crappy conference!

What if they decided to drop down to Division II? Or fold the athletic program altogether? Would you support that?

I was under the impression you were talking about a coaching change, but I guess not.

Yes, I would continue going to Bradley games even if they were Division II.

However, it would be rather difficult if for some apparent reason they were to fold the athletic program altogether.

Our system and play scheme gives no reason for a good big to want to come to Bradley...

Our system for big men is an absolute JOKE!

Is it our "system" or the fact we don't have a true 5. JL switched to the current system after POB left. I think he would go back to 2006 style IF we had a true big. Had AT developed liked he planned it would be different IMO.

Things haven't worked out, so far, as much as we would have liked, but most of us agreed with the contract extension because he and his team put BU back on the basketball map. JL isn't the first coach to be rewarded because of a successful season. His contract isn't up yet, so he has time to turn things around and I would hope most Braves fans would hope he can.

I was, but it was more to make the point that it appears some of the support is blind and/or unconditional support.

Just because I would "support" a Division II Bradley team does not mean I would agree with the decision. Same goes for a coaching change.

It is BRADLEY, not any one person.

I said that in the context of the question "what credit did he get when we won" people who dont think he gets enough credit forget that he is paid a salary that puts him in the top 1% of the world plus dozens of other freebies and benfits for cocahing basketball.

That is the credit he gets, does anyone think he should get more?
                      Can we start winning soon?

I would not want this kind of sleaze at BU.

But if we won the valley every year and made it to back to back to back final fours.....would you turn the other way....or still have a huge problem with it?

                            • I do not want someone who breaks rules and bribes players.

But I DO want someone who will actually compete for Valley titles.

                              • I love all the time you guys waste talking about JL and his job. Do you understand nobody is listening to you? All you "Upper Bowl fans" (including Kirk Wessler) that don't even belong to the Braves Club, but try to sneak in to a pre-game party for a free beer, are wasting your time talking negative about the program. Until the BSS folks start talking about looking for a new coach, JL's job is fine. Get over yourselves. See you at the next pre-game party - If you can get in?
