I thought it was a cool idea at first and got excited about it. But then after 2nd, 3rd and 4th thoughts (I think too much, it's a curse) - we ask our biggest rival to wear their home uniforms in our place Uniforms that they win in On 5th thought, it should have been a red out with us wearing white and ISU should have been wearing their road uniforms that they lose in. I hope we don't ask another team ever again to come into our place wearing their home uniforms. If you think about it 2, 3, 4, times - it had to pump up the ISU players.

The fact Bradley tried to keep it a "secret" and a "surprise" to ISU that it was a black-out is just strange to me. Why?

        Your presumption is errorneous-
It was not kept secret from ISU or the MVC. They needed and got the MVC approval, and the approval of ISU, who agreed, well in advance, to wear their white uniforms.

I guess I'm in the minority here, but I say good riddance. Black uniforms were really cutting edge.....in the early 90's. But I guess nobody ever accused Peoria fashion of being ahead of the times.

If you hadn't noticed...every team in the 1990's has a black variation of their uniform. And almost all of them are gone.

I guess we learned one thing last night. Once you go black...you CAN go back.

Not true- alternate color jerseys are still used by numerous college and NBA teams.

I liked them, but after last night, will we ever see them again is the real question...

Virtually every team in the NHL has a third jersey, as do quite a few teams in the MLB, NBA, college, heck even the bears have 3 different jerseys (White, Blue, and Orange). Having a third jersey is very common and fans do seem to like that, especially in hockey where fans always look really hard to find leaks about their teams new alternate uniforms.

I'm with you DC, I really liked the black uniforms. Talking to one of the student managers before the game, he said that they were trying to be able to bring them to St. Louis in case they have two "road" games in a row but that would be up to the schools admins and most importantly the MVC.

                      See..now this I guess I just don't understand...

If the opposing team is wearing white, why should it matter whether we're in the red or black?

I can see the point of us being at home bc ISU had to change their uniforms, BUT that makes no sense if we're the road team.

Apparently the MVC would have to approve us wearing them because they are not our standard uniform. I didn't think it would matter but I guess it does. Also I believe that Bradley's hierarchy would have to approve it because black isn't one of our schools colors or something and it has to do with Bradley's image which is why they had to get permission for last night from BU.

That is kind of what I took all that to mean. To me if you are the road team, as long as your jerseys don't blend in the with home white jerseys, it shouldn't matter what color you wear.

That's a nice idea, but I don't know of any conference that has allowed a team to wear their "alternate" jersey in the conference tournament, and also I don't think the NCAA has ever allowed it in postseason play. So I think this is the last time we will see them this year.

I thought they would keep them and use them on the road. But the paper said it was permission for a 1 time thing
Must have used the (zero ) halftime entertainment money to buy new uniforms My wife isn't a big basketball fan, but likes to watch the crowd and halftime show--but none last night
                            Bradley football--undefeated again this year

I didn't like it but I'm old so maybe that's why.

I thought it was a great idea, it makes things a little more interesting when you are willing to change things up a little bit.
