  • Bradley and Creighton SHAFTED By the MVC

Read today in PJS the powers that be in the MVC have selected WSU and SIU as their televised game at the end of the regular season.

How they thought WSU-SIU as a featured match up, given SIU is now 5-8, is beyond logic.

BU and Creighton might even be playing for second place, and quite possibly for third place in the Valley. WSU vs SIU is a dud this year.

Hope our new AD is all over the MVC. Welcome to the Valley Dr Cross...

Because WSU is better than us, and SIU has more of a name than we do.

There's zero chance either team is playing for 2nd. WSU is pretty darn good.

WSU is playing for an at-large bid and is an infinitely better choice to televise.

I think I even saw that 1 of those wild card games will be broadcasted on both ESPN2 and Fox Sports Midwest at the same time. Quite worthless as most people with Fox Sports Midwest also have ESPN2.

I disagree. Bu winning out or CU winning out definitely puts 2nd in play. That would means WSU would only have o lose one other game other than BU to have this happen. Hardly impossible. Look what 8 sycs almost did to them on their home floor Saturday. I'd love, I man love, to see EU get its first win over the Shux. I think they would have to get a new message board on the other site as I would set new post records.

Because apparently hiring poor officials isn't the only thing the conference is bad at

Agreed! It is in the Valley's best interest to try to get the perceived #2 team as much exposure as possible so as to help with a potential at-large bid.

The other top priority is that they want an arena full of great fans-
if the WSU game had been at SIU instead of at the Koch Arena, I suspect they would have opted for the Bradley game at Creighton. But there are no better fans & arena to showcase the quality of fan support than at Wichita State. If the game had been at SIU on the last day of the season, with SIU looking like a lock for 8th or 9th place, the SIU arena would have been moribund.

Very good point. I would love to go to the Roundhouse for a game.

Evansville just called and said they're pretty good themselves.

Yeah....I don't see one single team (not named UNI) in this conference that will even get a sniff of the dance.

And no one but the Shockers will get a sniff of the NIT.
