I have not read it but I can say DR's articles are generally pretty good. It's those articles from the other guy that bothers me.

I don't think we were ripping Warren. I for one, thought there was something going on in his personal life that was distracting him the way he was shooting airballs. and though he found his stroke against E-ville, I want to see more of him this week before the "cured" proclamation comes out.

Don't most kids go through a "slump" or some bad games? I think AW lost a little confidence when his shots weren't falling. It can happen to anyone. Let's hope he is back on track!

I agree DC. It was an uncharacteristic funk, and every team/player needs an Evansville or two on their schedule to get out of it. Sometimes the simplest things can turn someone's confidence around. The AW we saw Saturday was the really good one we have all seen and need to have for us to be good. I look for him to have another great game tomorrow. Redemption time!

First off Reynolds' article is not positive or negative it is an article filled with information. He gets a quote from Warren and talks a little about the play of Thompson in the Evansville game.

He also takes two paragraphs to point out the obvious:

Regardless, your obsession with anyone typing anything remotely negative or not all flowers and lollipops about Warren is ridiculous. In his last 9 games he is shooting 33-89 37%, take out his two v Evansville, he is 23-72 32%. In two games we needed him to show up at ISU and CU he was a combined 7-26 27%.

I am sorry but for someone who has been touted as all MVC and beyond those shooting numbers are not acceptable. If pointing out unimpressive shooting numbers is ripping him then so be it. And I am not even counting his lack luster defensive play. You can talk all day about him being in a slump and "everyone" has them, and sure shooting slumps happen... but great players do not take nights off defensively, they find a way to help their team win and do whatever it takes to win... they do not take intentional fouls with under 3 minutes to play in a one point game.

I sincerely want Andrew Warren to get back to who he was but he needs to do something against somone not named Evansville.
