  • Bradley Women win 68-58

I know that women's basketball doesn't seem very important on this board, but some people like to see how they are doing so I'll post this anyways.

Anyways the Braves won tonight 68-58 at Evansville. Still a lot of very sloppy play with a lot of turnovers and a lot of fouls early on, but after being up big and then losing the lead, they managed to keep Evansville at bay and pull out the victory.

With the victory, the Braves remain in a 2nd place tie with Missouri St., both at 8-3 in the valley, while Creighton falls to 4th at 7-4 after losing to Missouri St. tonight. Illinois St. holds a game and a half lead on the conference as they get ready to play Indiana St. tomorrow.

    Bradley game story link...

Bradley led from start to finish, but needed a pair of steals and breakaway layups during a 9-1 spurt to finish the game as the Braves posted a 68-58 victory at Evansville Friday. Senior Renee Frericks (Wyoming, Minn./Forest Lake) opened the run with a three-pointer, while junior Raisa Taylor (Decatur, Ill./Eisenhower) had a pair of steals and breakaway layups in the final 30 seconds to help seal the road win.

The Braves next game is Sunday at Southern Illinois at 3:05

Good win for the Lady Braves.

I think this is the first of a 3-in-a-row Road Series where all 3 are "winnable".

Now go get the next one!

That is correct and they need to win these games if they want to stay at the top of the Valley and stay close to ISU.
