With no actual mascot -- which we should NOT create just to have one -- generating any logo different than the one we have will be tough.
As mentioned in the other thread, we should focus on winning and presenting ourselves to our alumni and others through the internet.
Winning and making the NCAA will make that logo look a lot better! Just ask Creighton who uses an orange basketball and the word JAYS as their logo. Nobody complaining about that.Get Well Massive Mike! "Once a Brave always a Brave!"

We could do more with merchandising though. BU just really has nothing to offer in that regard. That's no a basketball or athletics thing, but more of a university/marketing thing.Onward and Upward!

The biggest thing...a good representation of various styles of hats...if you can market them well, a boom to the fan base occurs.
That being said, anyone got any ideas on a logo?
I really still feel like the BU block logo is fine

The problem is that the university and the bookstore (Barnes & Noble?) work against one another as they don't let the bookstore set anything up at the games or Chiefs Club events, etc. Then they don't do anything of quality themselves.Get Well Massive Mike! "Once a Brave always a Brave!"

We could have THE CHIEF JUSTICE as our mascot. A judge with a big cartoonish Gavel, who rules the court. The judge is honorable, which is a trait of a brave, and we can still sneak in the word Chief and it not be associated with a Native American culture.
OR
How about The Commander In Chief, same kind of idea.
Seriously, I think our AD is right, we need to do something to get BU branded a little better. A mascot is just so hard to do with the nickname Brave, and I would not be for changing the nickname.DUBL R 1

I wouldn't be too alarmed yet. This is only student senate. The Scout said it the letters havent' even been receive or reviewed yet by Galsky."How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it." - Jim Valvano
