  • Unruly fans- West Virginia president and coach apologize for fan behavior

After an assistant coach for Pitt was hit in the face with a coin thrown by an unruly West Virginia fan, the president has publically apologized for their fans' behavior.
It's not the first time their fans' behavior has been an issue for Bob Huggins and WVU, similar incidents occurred in games against Kentucky and Ohio State at Morgantown, and their fans are becoming a national embarrassment.-

I disagree. Moonshine and sports mix great in moderation. Hillbillies and sports do not mix.

But you really have to applaude the restraint that WVU fans showed by not destroying any furniture or property.

And honestly it was actually the assistants own fault for being where he was and having his mug get in the way of the coin.

Agreed. It does show the talent level of the WVU faithful when it comes to their games however. That's a shot.

Apparently the Purdue fans who were at Indiana for their game were also subjected to pretty bad behavior..
