ISU should have very little trouble at home against Morehead St.

I agree 100%. The talent from their conference is not that great for D1 schools. They have had decent teams in the past but never top MVC type ability. Drexel on the other hand comes from a pretty good conference and that alone in college bball tells you plenty especially if they are competing well in it.

And Drexel is definitely quality given what we could've had. They must've gotten the memo from last year and Loyola.
We are still pissed about that draw. The bb crew royally screwed us giving us loyola last year, choosing to opt out of giving us a tv game and dropping us like crazy in the rpi matchup, if memory serves they dropped us like 10 spots to make us play them. We also pushed that game off our schedule this year and unfortunately have to play it next year.

As I said early, we are all happy with the matchup as soon as it was announced. Of the possibilities, we were hoping for another mvc matchup in the bb, since we had creighton a couple years ago before getting snubbed. I think like 5 guys or so are making the trek to chicago to peoria. We are a solid team, but very inconsistent especially on the road. Should be a fun matchup in a couple years when you come to philly though, not saying this one won't be.

We got screwed with Loyola-Chicago and you got screwed with Loyola-Maryland I don't think the BB crew like either of us.

Frankly, I was wondering why we didn't have Drexel last year.

dan10, everyone here is happy with the draw too. I'm just worried about getting manhandled like we did against ODU last year. You guys are big, and we lost the only two guys from last year that gave us any inside presence. if we can make some perimeter jumpers we will be ok, but i'm afraid you guys make will have your way in the paint. good luke and will look foreward to the rematch.

I don't know that they are much (if at all) bigger than us. Their leading rebounder, Sammie Givens, is 6-5 and their bigs don't play a ton of minutes.

This is one of the first times I have ever heard our team called big. We are undersized but hustle, which makes us a decent rebounding team. Our bigs rotate frequently, some based on fouls some based on keeping fresh. Leon and Samme will impress you. Both are aggressive and good rebounders. Samme may be 6'5 but plays about 6'8 and his hustle is incredible. If he is 2 inches taller he probably lands in a major conference instead of the caa. I like that he matches size-wise up with you guys, because that should get him even more minutes to dominate the glass and score down low.

As far as having our way in the paint, um sure. Watch any tape on us and you will understand. We only have one big other than Leon or Samme, who can legit post anyone up and score in the low block. With our road woes this season, I fully expect it to be a close game but we have a ton of talent that when it shows we can be such a good team. Luckily, we have been playing well of late, but only at home. So for us, it is baby steps.

drexel lost tonight 75-64 @hofstra. typical road game for us. huge opportunity for a bye in the caa tournament and like normal we blow it. Game was not as close as the score indicates. I think we match up really well against you guys, but unless we learn to not completely suck on the road we won't beat you. Fouch got hurt tonight with a shoulder injury, so hopefully he will be ok for us.

I chatted with the some players from the Drexel team this morning. They were staying in the same hotel next to Hofstra. Nice kids ... they were a bit down given the "L" Hofstra handed them.

They were excited to play at Bradley as they heard BU draws big crowds. I assured them a crowd 10,000+ going ape ****. Don't let me down!!!

You were probably better off to assure them of 10,000 people going APE on the forum if they beat us...

Maybe 8,000 going APE. If we are not playing IL. ST., SIU Creighton or a good Big 10 school, we do not draw 10,000. Interesting to see what it will be Saturday. 1:00 PM tip-off against The Valley leader. Maybe 10?
The Fans on Bradley fan, know basketball,We recognize Drexel as a good program, but your average fan will not come out on a Saturday night, for Drexel.
They will stay home and Watch Americas Most Wanted, or The Olympics!.

Drexel won this afternoon, at home, against the lowly delaware blue hens. However we will likely be on a 1 game losing streak heading into peoria as I do not see us winning @vcu.

I know I'm looking ahead a little bit, but Chris Fouch, Drexel's best shooter and 2nd leading scorer, reportedly suffered a setback in rehabbing from an injury endured a week or so ago. He is out for the VCU game on tuesday, and it's possible he could be out for an extended period of time.

"We're rehabbing him to see if he can come back," Flint said after the Dragons (15-12, 10-5 CAA) stayed in the chase for a first-round bye in the league tourney. "He won't play the next game. That would be a miracle. We're hoping this is not the end of the season for him. There's a chance it could be."
This is just the tip of the iceberg...

Without Fouch, this is a much more winnable game.
