I can tell you it takes more effort on D then on O so if you coast on D you have more energy for your offensive game. So, look at which players seem not to play on you toes, down in a crouch ready to explode D and that is who he is speaking about. The best teams and players are ready to give it up for the team because they realize that the number one stat is your teams W-L.

The best team we've had with this regime had serviceable guards and great big men. For some reason we went away from winning that way. Not sure why.

I think he probably thought he had that in AT....or at least WOULD have had it by now. Maybe not great but pretty good.

And remember, we wenty away from it when POB went away...early.

I dont know who he is thinking, but watching yesterday and looking back at the box score, 3-12 FG from AW was really what stuck out to me

Yeah...Warren has been giving us a lot of very soft, very unproductive inutes lately. Disappointing from a guy that was supposed to be our "go to guy" and most likely all-Valley team representative...

until the last couple of games Drew was putting up those kind of numbers....still may become all valley...but I really thought his biggest attribute would be to open things up for others to score easier...it has been better for SamM with Drew back...guess I would like to have seem more of Jake as we needed another outside threat....and to cry my same old song...why not play a couple of bigs at the same time..at least for a few minutes....

sat pretty close to the action Saturday and I can tell you no one was playing soft...ouch! DSE took one on the chin...also thought TB played some tough "D"...

We don't have an MVC 1st teamer on the roster. Sam will probably make 2nd team, but AW and TB won't.

                      AW Last 5 Games:

1/16 vs MO State: 3/8 FG, 11 pts
                      1/20 at So ILL: 2/8 FG, 4pts
                      1/23 vs Evansville: 3/7, 17pts
                      1/27 vs Creighton: 4/14, 13 pts
                      1/30 at ISU: 3/12, 11 pts

                      5 game Totals/Averages: 15/49 (30.6%) FG, 11.2 ppg

As a career 43% shooter, he is obviously struggling to find his shot lately. With the exception of 8/8 from the line against a bad evansville team at home, not much seems to be falling as of late for AW. Hope that this cold stretch is about over, we need his production bad.

I don't know if AW has what it takes to be "the man" on a winning team but I still think our team's fortunes revolve around AW and SM. AW seems to be a real smart, classy, character kid and I hope he gets his groove back and finishes his career on a high note.
