I wonder how many games will separate the 3rd seed from the 8th seed in the MVC Tourney.

Shaping up to be the weirdest MVC season I can remember. I can't tell if it means we're (MVC members) all worse than we think, or better than we think. Or something.

Agreed, and according to some logic there should be the highest turnover in coaches because there are eight teams that are mediocre at best.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Not 8, maybe 7. I see UNI up top, Wich St just a little better than mediocre, and then Evansville clearly a notch below. (but now that I have put Evansville a notch below, they will find a way to get at least 1 win in the MVC... at home vs Bradley )

"Mediocre at best" would include Evansville, although they do seem to be on a different level altogether.

SIU should demote their coach to a minor league team like DePaul

Siu made 13 out of 25 freethrows , had they made 4 more freethrows they would have won the game, does anyone think Lowery was outcoached because they lost or was it because of the missed freethrows?

He should have recruited better free throw shooters! It's always the coaches' fault!

Again, it seems like many around here blame JL and staff for EVERYTHING that goes wrong. I've seen it said here in the recent past that JL is the one that recruits the players, therefore maybe we should be recruiting better players. I figured the same would hold true for the other teams, especially all the mediocre teams in the Valley that should apparently be looking for new coaching staffs at the end of this season!

Most define BU as Mediocre NOT based on one game or even a stretch of games...not even ONE season. We use the ENTIRE JL tenure to describe it as mediocre. THAT is an undeniable fact. PERIOD.

SIU, under the same guidelines, over the 8 years has won HOW many MVC titles...how mant NCAA/NIT trips...how many Valley finals ?

While they are mediocre to bad THIS year that is NOT a mediocre program in the same sense that fits BU. PERIOD.

Or, perhaps should have insisted that they spend more time practicing their freethrows, or, perhaps had a coach work with them on improved technique. Even when it comes to shooting freethrows there is something the coach can contribute to the improvement of the team.
