  • Taylor & Will's development

The negative results can draw us away from some bright spots. TB and WE are improving game by game and could be a nice 1-2 punch for BU in the next 2 years. They have been rebounding well and gaining more confidence - a little shaky defensively.
Would be nice to see them get to the foul line more, like TW was great at doing.

Will's mid-range jumper is going to get better too.
Taylor is just an explosive offensive player and is fun to watch when he's not in foul trouble.

Both guys are very talented players who have a high ceiling and their best basketball ahead of them. I really like what I see in both of them. It's just two more big reasons why we SHOULD be better than 10-10.
    Onward and Upward!

Agreed. They both are subpar defensively but hopefully can improve. Two of more favorite Braves to watch. Will doesn't have any plays run for him so getting 10-12 ppg is good.

Bradley runs screen and roll all the time with will as the screener... Missing the part where there's no plays for egolf??

Taylor is pretty much unstoppable on offense , he can shoot the 3, pull up and take a 15 footer or drive all the way and make a layup, he also is a great rebounder, the only thing holding him back is foul trouble and off the court problems, Will has turned into one of the better post players in the conf as he is rebounding and scoring and blocking shots, what we need is better backups for them.

Thats not a play for Egolf. That's a screen and roll. Will gets the ball when they don't guard him but you don't run a screen and roll with a set idea in mind.

They don't call sets for Will. That is obvious. Im not saying they should. I generally like Bradley's offense the way it is setup.

Are you talking about plays out of time outs and from the sideline, because then I agree.

Yeah. And just offensive sets in general. Again, I am not complaining about this. Bradley's offense, generally pretty good, just isn't designed for a center to get post up baskets, etc. It's a drive and kick type of deal designed to get shooters open shots, get to the foul line, etc. Will does a nice job of getting points off putbacks and open jump shots.

i see more of SS and WE rolling with no intention of getting the ball and not even looking

Maybe we should design plays to get the ball to Egolf on the block. He passes well has a very nice spin move to either hand and an up and under move. Maybe we are not using him and his skill to its maximum ability by just using him in a high screen and roll.

But when he does get the ball at the L off th screen and roll he has a very good mid range jumper (which is even more confusing as to then why he cant shoot a free throw) and lately he has great confidence in going to the rim and finishing on the drive.

Brown was just made to be a basketball player. He has a very good overall midrange and even a 3pt game, he gets to the rim when he has an opening, he shoots fts great, boards and will eventually play stingy defense. I will guarantee you he would play and play alot at all kinds of BCS schools. But the best part of his game is he is unselfish, but just like Warren he occasionally will take that ill advised 18 ft shot fading away with 10 seconds gone in a shot clock.

Ill live with an occasional bad shot from Brown. He is the most talented basketball player that BU has had since Granger/Sommerville.

I think the only thing Sommerville had over TB is more muscle. He was not really consistent until his senior year. TB is quicker and has so many ways he can score. Both work extremely hard in the off-season.
It would be a shame with WE and TB's talent not for them to get to the NCAA tourney in their Bradley career...then again, it's a shame C-Rob may not even get to play in the NIT.

Or even worse if AW, SM, and DD didn't even make it to the NIT!
Is this possible??? Way too much talent.

Something I would love to see more of is some clear out sets. Work the O a little and then isolate Taylor to one side of the floor and then let him work some 1 on 1 with a defender. At the least, that should draw some of the attention to him and get some of the other players open more.

BB I agree with you inregards to TB and WE. If WE was a four and we had a legit 5 we would be so much better. We need a 5 in the worst way and we also need some shooters like the Bluejays have. # 34 and Jones were both Freshmen for CU. Why can't we recruit shooters like them. I love DSE but he is more of a penatator then a shooter. Hope that improves in the next 3 years. Why is it we can't bring in some shooters? Do they not want to come here or can we not identify people who can shoot? The two best shooters we have had in here the past 10 or 12 years were A.Zobrist a walk on and JC who we wanted out of here after his Soph year. Facilities can not be the excuse anymore. LETS GET SOME PLAYERS IN HERE WHO CAN SHOOT!!!!!!!
