I know there has been A LOT of excitement this decade BB....... More than most.

Nope. Two fluke weeks weren't better than 4 conference titles in the 80's, or the decade of the 90's where we won a league title, made an NCAA, and were annually contending. Spin it any way you want, the records speak for themselves.

I thought it was the ISU Sweep of the Braves in Mo's last year that put the final nail in Mo's coffin.

We get swept this year - I would suspect the Coach's arse to be quite roasty-toasty next season.

You can have your opinion about the program, but those 2 weeks were not a fluke and I don't like when people say that. Those players and coaches worked hard for that and I wouldn't call it a fluke. That was a talented team that played very well down the stretch. Maybe this has been a fluke year inbetween a future stretch of 10 straight 20+ win seasons.

So we get a 'next season', and it's a good one. Then Sam, Dodie, AW, all graduate. We're right back to mediocrity again, with excuses. Not sure what we're afraid of here. Other coaches have been fired for having more success than our current coach. All indications point to a losing league record after 8 seasons, with zero top 3 finishes. Most coaches wouldn't get 8 season with that rate of success.

We had 4 posessions down by 3, with a chance to tie it up. AW got an open look, SM got an open look. What the h$ll else do you want? Our team shot terrible but won every important stat except score. I'm not sure JL is the right guy, but saying we got outcoached here makes it pretty clear, one, you either haven't played, coached, or been actively involved with organized sports, or you have an agenda. Seriously, our two best shooters with shots to tie the game. What would you rather have had? How could any set play have helped? OUR TWO BEST SHOOTERS GOT SHOTS TO TIE THE GAME! Criminitly, I think if CU shot 100% from the field and our bench fell apart and injured every member of the starting lineup it would still, somehow, be JL's fault.

Yep..its all about the coach. Its Les' fault the braves shot 68% percent from the line. Its his fault the braves shot 25% from 3 point land with lots of open looks. Its his fault CU got great rolls the entire first half and probably had the best shooting half of their season. Its Jim's fault the ref's made some of the worst calls I have seen in college bball. Ya know what?? Why stop there? I would like to blame some of the fans for not standing and cheering at key times of the game. Im not sure..but I think I saw 2 cheerleaders not giving their best tonite..shame on them. Outside of sec 10...at least one hot dog vendor had ZERO pep in his step. Not only do we need a new coach..new asst coaches...but lets get it right. we need new fans..vendors..cheerleaders and I think my seat might have been a tad scratchy tonite. REPLACE THEM ALL-
                What a joke.

Always positive! Even your attitude about a potential good season is negative!! It is almost laughable. Plus with TB, potentially JW and SH, DSE, EM, AT, WE, JE, MK and JP all back I think we have a bunch of talent the following year as well.

Coaches recruit players who can win (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL), get players who can shoot (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL), improve player's skills (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL), motivate teams for big games vs big opponents (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL), game plan and adjust plans during games vs opponents (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL), install their own offensive and defensive systems (BU 4-14 vs CU under JL)....

YEAH, I guess I would have to say DA outcoaches JL pretty regularly.
It isn't just about players' shooting on one night.

Very much agree with your post amckillip. For various reasons, I have been unable to see us play since New Years Day. We had a bad shooting night, but there are a lot aspects on this team in which I have seen improvement. JL can't make the shots to tie the game!
Also, the officiating crew tonight was one of the worst crews that I have seen in quite some time! I am in no way blaming the officials for our loss tonight, but wow they were horrible!

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

You are now in control of what happens to JL? I don't think you or anyone here can say his seat is cooking, that is up to BU. A lot would argue there have been some results like it or not both in the classroom and on the court especially the last four years.

I have no idea who you are directly this at....but tell me a timeout would have hurt? drawing up play that could allow for an even better shot. Apparently JL is awesome at drawing up plays out of timeouts..i felt both our AW's and SM's were rushed.

We lost because our players missed key freethrows down the stretch, turned the ball over with a chance to take the lead and could not make a shot in the final minute and a half, also Creighton was the worse 3 point shooting team in the Valley but it seemed like they couldn"t miss tonight, the team was put in a position to win so it is hard to blame poor coaching on this, it was unfortunately Creightons night .
The thing that is hurting BU the most is the lack of depth as we have Egolf and Brown playing well but virtually no one to sub in for Brown and Singh does not add any scoring which makes it harder on our guards to get good shots when he is in, Thompson has been here for 3 seasons and appears to be a bust and Milos can only shoot but is not a physical type player so he will also struggle in this system.
