Guess what. That probably was Creighton's best game. They made way more baskets than expected. We missed many more shots than expected. They were very lucky and we were very unlucky. In a vacuum, this loss isn't bad.
But guess what? When you have 10 losses you don't get to use that as an excuse. If you're 13-7, then you do. If you're 2nd in the Valley, you do. When you're .500 and keep blowing home leads, you don't. When you lose other close games, you don't.
It's a concept called margin for error. We used ours up early in the season. Therefore, we need to be more perfect later in the season to balance it out. Yes, I really liked the attitude and the style of play we brought tonight. But don't let that serve as a complete mulligan for tonight.
