  • We're leading the MVC in rebounding

Don't have it on margin, but we do have the most rebounds of any team in the MVC (only 4th when you're talking about rebounding margin). I had no idea, really, but keep it up guys!

If we can keep Taylor on the floor for at least 30 minutes our rebounding will only get better.

Yeah, it's a good point, even in his limited minutes he's one of the top rebounders in the MVC. An interesting side point, Warren is the 10th best rebounder in league play, and I think the best rebounding guard-- some have been questioning his toughness, but I think it relates to a couple of off games he had from beyond the arc and with turnovers... I've seen a lot of tough inside play and rebounding out of the guy.

        pace adjusted

i know BU puts up lots of shots and were playing at a pretty quick pace. That may be one reason for the bulk lead.

Bradley is near the top in most team categories in the Conference-only statistics-

Andrew Warren is the top scorer in MVC conference games with an average of 16.1 ppg. He is shooting 47.5% on threes, and 95% on free throws..

          Overall stats-

To me this is a very surprising stat. Like many on this site, I've been somewhat critical of our big guys...even accusing our guys of being soft. This stat indicates that maybe we're not as soft as we thought.

The fact that we may have the best rebounding guards in the league explains this number to an extent.

We've been anything but soft lately. We allowed too many offensive boards at SIU, which is still something we have to be consistent with each game.

no way, we don't have our bigs coach and we're always a poor rebounding team!

                  no to rain

They are 4th in margin. That's probably way better than where it was 4 games ago. Playing at the pace that they do they have given up the most shots in the MVC. I would guess that with the improved defense the margin should increase more in the near future...

With the new found energy I'm not surprised to see our stats have improved but let's not get comfortable with that stat yet. WE has come up big lately under the boards and the rest of the team is going after the ball as well. Are we in the category of a Mich St? No but for the Valley we do not have to be, we just need to be able to clean the defensive board. If we continue this we'll be a ot tougher to beat.
