  • BU's stats, and some things are pretty surprising

at least surprising to some people, apparently...

Sam Maniscalco ranks in virtually EVERY measure as one of the TOP point guards in the league, and ALSO as one of the top scoring guards in the league.
    This kinda personifies "combo guard"!

Also, Will's numbers since Valley play began rank him right at the top among all the centers in the league, even the ones who got preseason All-Valley mentions...also AW and TB among leaders....

Check out all the stats and thoughts........
Evansville showed that they have a few fine, young shooters, but they just don't have all the pieces.. Their inside game is lacking and they...

Sammy should be MVC POW and if he continues on this pace also 1st team all MVC, he has really turned it up a notch with his outstanding play.

Congrats to Sammy- but the one stat that means the most- wins.. has been sorely lacking until lately....

I personally don't care who scores what- as long as we keep winning...
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Agreed......nice to see SM turning it around. Would have liiked to have THIS SM for the three big home losses but its understandable with his ailing foot.

Sam M. has been our hottest player on offense the last 7 games. A combined 39-67 for a 58% on Field Goals. Granted, a lot of those shots were hustle layups but he is scorching hot right now. His D might lag just a little but his offense certainly makes up for it.

And let's not belittle layups out of a 6' point guard. He's beating his man and finishing, I love it.

One of Sammy's layups yesterday was a steal and a fast break, then a crossover and left handed layup against good defense by Kavon Lacey..
as Kavon set up to get the next inbounds, he was shaking his head and mumbling to himself...
I think Sammy has his number........

That crossover was a behind the back crossover if I remember correctly. Then dribbled it between 2 or 3 defenders and tossed it up. Very nice drive.

Here's an interesting observation: Sam has approximately the same amount of points as King O with about 30 fewer shots. Would it surprise anyone if SM's first team all MVC next year?

We did win both games this week (usually he first criteria for winning a POW), both teams above us lost in the past week, but we are tied with Drake and Drake caused one of those losses above us...
