  • C-Rob pressing?

I liked CR's aggressive play the last couple games and not backing down even when he was struggling to score.
Why is he struggling so much lately? Is he trying to assert his senior status too much?
I'd LOVE to see him catch fire as he did toward last season. He's already got the passion and determination to win.

Yea he's pressing...He needs to slow down just a tad but I love his energy and his D has been A+ for us! Can't discount that!

Keep playing defense, grabbing boards and let the offense come to him and he'll be OK.

He wants to win and he hit 2 huge 3 pointers against Illinois toward the end of that game that were huge, unfortunately everyone goes thru shooting slumps.

No question CR plays as hard as anyone on the team. I just think sometimes on offense his mind and body have a disconnect of some kind. If he can slow it down just a bit and just trust in his natural ability instead of trying to rush it he'll be fine.

            How did C-Rob look yesterday?
When he scores 10+, that's a good sign.
When he attacked the hoop vs. SIU, he had trouble finishing and rushed things. He could be a great slasher with a little more poise.

Roberts is not a good ball handler and a weak finisher. When he plays within himself, which is shooting spot-up 3's, crashing the boards, and defending, he's serviceable. When he's trying to take people off the dribble, he's hard to watch.

What I noticed in the SIU game, he seldom seemsto square up to the basket on his shots. As a result he seems to be throwing the ball instead of shooting it. But maybe that was just that one game. I have not seen him play that much.
