WHAT? One of the few this year? Everytime we've needed clutch FT's whos been there? Most of the clutch 3's we've had are Sam.

      Sam's last 6 games: 21, 13, 15, 12, 21, 20.

Yeah, he rarely shows his ability...

        I have 4 questions...

--is there anyone north of Carbondale who really believes Carlton Fay was even touched let alone fouled on that 3-pt shot when he was awarded 3 FT's?

--when TB chased down that long rebound in the 2nd half and was clobbered but called for traveling, is there anyone who actually agrees with that call?
It was a loose ball, nobody had control and it cannot be traveling, and should have called a foul on Freeman.

--did Taylor Brown say something to get the "T" of did he just get slapped with the technical because he attempted to throw the ball off the opponent to save it inbounds? I thought that's all he was doing and didn't necessarily deserve a "T".

--check the picture on the front page of the PJS sports section....
you can also access the picture here on this page, it is the one under the larger picture in the little area "More related photos"....showing Taylor Brown going for a basket...with two different Salukis hammering his arms and BOTH literally have their hands wrapped fully around Taylor's arm and clearly fouling him...yet nothing was called...

then I guess I ask for an honest assessment....was this one of the worst crews ever - missing at least 1/2 of the calls they made!!!

I honestly think the referring in this league is getting more and more biased. Almost to the point where they don't care others know. I just feel there have been a large amount of calls this year that favor the home team when they shouldn't be called...in peoria or not. It's probably just in my head though.

Great game and great win. I do have to ask one question.....can anyone explain what AW was thinking on the intentional foul at the end of the game????? We had players back, we are up three, help me understand?

BDS didn't say Sam didn't have ability- said his ability as a game-changer has grown.. And besides- points alone don't mean as much as when they come...

And BU was only 3-3 in those 6 games, so I Think BDS has a valid point IMO..

In the Wichita game for instance- Sam was only 1 of 7 from 3 pt line,....
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

This play happened right in front of me in the first half. This is the play TB was called for the technical foul-

He went for the rebound under the SIU basket and should have had it, but one or both SIU played appeared to grab Taylor's arm. The ball bounced off the floor then toward the baseline and out of bounds. TB tried to throw the ball in off an SIU player, but it went off TB instead. Taylor wasn't disputing that call, but with his back to the official, he had a disgusted (look wondering why there was no foul call) and muttered something softly. I was 6 feet from where TB was, and I didn't hear what he said, but somehow the official, who was also about 6 feet away, heard it and quickly called the technical foul.

It was a big blow to Bradley. It gave TB 2 fouls and he had to sit down for the last 15 minutes of the first half. It also changed the momentum of the game.

Did he sit due to the 2 fouls or was he put on the bench because he picked up the technical foul???? I thought Jim put him there because he was mad about the technical foul? We may never know.

I don't think he sat the rest of the half because he only had 2 fouls JL was HOT about his technical TB can be good but he also has hurt this team this year with his actions

if you only focus on the negatives, I guess you could say that about any player...
in fact everyone on the team has missed every shot if we only look at the ones they didn't make...

                          Soo true

Officiating at SIU has been pathetic, or should I say gutless, for some time now, as SIU teams play aggressive in your face defense and get away with murder at home. The clutching, hacking, bumping, hand checking, holding goes unnoticed while officials call touch fouls on opponents

The calls, or non calls, you referenced were more evidence of the same...

Better officials were up in Champaign officiating the Illini game.

That would be way cool! Bradley and ISU, not just the Rivlary, but with meaningful consequences.

DSE continues to be a cog for the team. I think he was out on the court at the end of the game. Les has confidence in this kid, as he should.
Not much fell for BU from the outside, but DSE had 2 big 3's when SIU was cutting into the lead. How good is he going to be in 2 years...if healthy?

I did not say he rarely shows his ability. You brought up that his play last night was a game changer. I agreed with that assessment, and said that he has shown THAT ability, to be a game changer, a few times this year. I also ended it by saying I hope that this continues. Just because you score points does not make you a game changer. It was the little things, like hustle, ball control, passing and D that SM showed last night that really made the difference.
Some see a hopeless end, while others see an endless hope.
