I suspect there are very few people who post on this forum who want JL fired during this year. That would not make a lot of sense for the program.
I hope I speak for the majority of the folks who have not been happy with the lack of progress BU has shown over the past several years under JL in saying that another season of 4th, or worse, in the MVC for BU this year should lead to a serious evaluation of JL's ability to deliver what he promised 8 years ago and hopefully lead to some changes (ie an experienced asst coach, different offensive and/or defensive strategies).
Insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Only a complete collapse of BU this year to the bottom of the Valley would jeopardize JL's position this year.
No success next year in the Valley or postseason should be reason for BU to give someone else a try to take the program to the next level. JL has done lots for the BU program, and should be commended for it. At the same time, if he can't finish the job he started after 8-9 years, it should be time to at least try to find someone who can.
The SIU game is not the biggest in JL's tenure, but, if it leads to a respectable finish, or, leads to the bottom of the Valley, would determine how important next years team's performance is to BU sticking with JL forever (at least in the eyes of the many many JL FANaticS....)BUilding for the Future

I stand corrected dog, however I still do not believe that it is one of the most important games in his tenure.
Not many outside of the BU fans really expect us to win the game at SIU. I think we can and we will. I think this game is bigger if we win, if we lose it will never be mentioned when the time comes for the powers to be to decide on the Jl tenure. Even with a loss we can finish strong, we are capable of winning the valley tournament. We are capable of making a strong end of year run, I think our schedule is better suited for that than any other valley team.
What were the biggest 10 games during the Tenure of Verace, Albeck or Molinari ?
I also think that JL and his accomplishments match up pretty well to the previous 3 coaches.Lets surrender ..... Chesty Puller.... "H*$$ NO !!! we have the enemy right where we want them they can't hide"

IMO every game is the biggest but if I do say so myself the MSU game may prove to have been the most pivotal if we start a win streak and develop a an attitude of how to play. If we go back to not hustling and rebounding then all of the good vibes from the last game is lost."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."
