The most amazing thing of this post is that we found out that wizard is one of the old and wise fans on this board. ..
wizard does indeed know everyone associated with the BU basketball program as far back as the late '40's...
I am not saying he is all that old, but he will soon be eligible for the gray-hair section...
wizard is one of the "good Bradley fans"....
I dont know if you can make a rule for every situation. Clemson beat UNC this year and they were both ranked, but Clemson had not beaten UNC in 10 years. I think that was justified.
I think Clemson was favored in the game... anytime you are the favorite in a game you should not be rushing the court...YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WIN!

I am not questioning anything BUT You said the above and wizard said this (Most of us "white Haired-Cane totting" old folks) now does he have white/gray hair or not In other words is he one of us or not JK Who the hell cares, we now know he is one of the good old folks, that are great BU Fans
I have never gotten the disdain for storming the court. Most of the time the students are the ones leading the charge storming the court.
We really have no student identity at home games so no real risk of storming the court. Probably would be pretty fun though. If it were me, I'd storm the court after every win over ISU, the Packers, the Minnesota Twins, or the Knicks. Just me. I get excited during rivalries.
We really need to do something to get the students in the games. Maybe if we finish above 4th we can storm the court for our best finish in a decade
I think many times we hear corporate seats and think they are huge corporations. Most are not in reality. They are small locally owned companies that either contribute money or provide products and/or services to BU.
I think when we see a few people leave early it may irk some in the upper bowl but when you look at the whole lower bowl it's a miniscule percentage.
I've had these seats for 22 years now and have gone to a very high percentage of games and usually only missed when my kids were playing HS and college ball.
And I would always blame the companies if someone isn't sitting in their seats.
You can give the tickets away but then the people don't show. It's not that company's fault.
Sorry for the rant but there have been many MVC coaches over the years jealous of the enthusiasm of the crowd and the passion the community has for the Braves. Many coaches have talked about their game day luncheons as well never having the attendance that ours do.
Now I will say I don't know about the last few years luncheons or not but I'll assume it's still the same way.
I apologize for the long post. Haven't been on for awhile and I had withdrawls

right on lefty, there shouldn't even be the slightest talk disparaging the crowds at BU.....I generally come home hoarse, and yet I suspect nobody even notices since everyone around me is also hollering...
(can you hear me from where you sit, lefty?)
..maybe only 2 other programs in the Valley can boast such fans and enthusiasm...

I hear you very well when you are yelling at the refs
Hey, I don't hold a candle to the "guy" down a bit to my left in the very front row who challenges some of the refs in such a manner, that the striped guys have asked that security intervene....
Another "storming the court" story-
After South Carolina upset Kentucky last night, the students and others stormed the court. But the SEC has enacted strict rules requiring teams to prevent this activity. This was So. Carolina's second violation since the rule was instituted, so today, the SEC fined South Carolina $25,000.
The Southeastern Conference said Wednesday that South Carolina will be fined for violating league rules against permitting fans on the playing area following a 68-62 victory over top-ranked Kentucky on Tuesday night.
This is one thing that really irritates me. The fans are what make college sports what they are. The league should be ecstatic that fans care enough to storm a court after such a monumental win for the program. There is no better sight than when Texas Tech knocked off Texas in football 2 years ago and the students stormed the entire field from all four corners in a matter of seconds.
"How do you go from where you are to where you want to be? I think you have to have an enthusiasm for life. You have to have a dream, a goal, and you have to be willing to work for it." - Jim Valvano
I brought back this old thread about storming the court...
I saw a couple examples this past weekend...the first two made me snicker...
West Virginia beat Purdue...
Purdue has been top 10 all season although troubled with injuries, but WVU is also 12-4 and ranked #21!
Purdue lead most of the game but went cold, and WVU caught them for a close 68-64 "upset", but as the game closed out,
the West Virginia fans did the "overrated" chant, then stormed the court at the buzzer almost as if it was their first win of any kind in three years!
Penn State beat Michigan State -- and MSU has been struggling, but Penn State fans acted like they've never beaten a ranked team in their history!
They then beat #16 Illinois on the road a few nights later...and believe it or not, the modest contingent of Penn State fans that travelled to Illinois again stormed the floor! "a large turnout of Penn State students stormed the floor for the second-straight game"
