The stream was much better last night. I finally could watch the game in full screen mode!

I know that Bobby Parker has had his team work on it and will be doing all they can to improve the quality. Some of the quality issues are outside of their domain. Here's an email regarding MSU's stream. " They do have a brand new scoreboard and equipment in their new building. I'm sure that does help their streaming effort as it will next year in our new on-campus venue. Hopefully the PCC will be making similar video board upgrades in the near future."

I thought it was much better last night!! And if the new score board can make it close to as good as MSU's next year, then that is wonderful news that I am excited to hear!

Why would a scoreboard have anything to do with it? Maybe new cameras, but when the TV station has a good feed, why can't they use that? We're being told 2+2=2.5 here IMO... Butler has a good feed, and I don't know if you've ever been in Hinkle, but it's scoreboard isn't exactly state of the art, ya know, in a building that predates WWII...

Kudos on last night's stream! Somebody at BU has been listening and last night's stream proved it! I plugged into the big screen TV and thought the quality was the best this year (outside of the game at MSU.)

I was wondering if bu.tv was using the scoreboard video system, it is possible the the PCC had set camera video resolution and/or processing to maximize the "quality" of the poor resolution scoreboard to the detriment of every other use of that video feed (i.e like using more than 0 "sharpness" on your home TV. "Sharpness" is just added video noise, does make a fuzzy signal a little more distinct, but sharpness ruins DVD and/or HDTV source material.)
It should be possible, though to start with a high quality product then seperately post-processed into what ever lack of quality was needed...

I'm not sure I agree the quality was that good. I still feel robbed every time I try and use the BU feed and end up using channelsurfing's instead. The best feeds I've gotten this year were all from away games. The only positive I have gotten from this year is that it seems all the BU games are showing up on channelsurfing, so next year I won't have to buy the BU package.

BU - Please upgrade the equipment!

Agreed completely, I partially buy B.TV to support BU, but if this is the way its gonna be I'll just up my annual donation to the IMET department and get the stream for free until they provide a quality product.
