We're trying to win games. The bench shortens as we get into conference season...Simms-Edwards gives us way more than McCain can right now...so no real reason to play him.

After the Mo State debacle Coach Les said they needed to focus on defense and not on scoring. If so, McCain should have been playing, since in my opinion he is the best defender on the team, though he seems to be lacking confidence offensively. I really like DSE and Eastman getting playing time, but if defense is the answer how can EM not get a sniff? I'd personally prefer a run and gun style, but I will admit BU did what they had to do to try to win this particular game. A few bad breaks, a TON of sloppy play, a ridiculous over the back call on DSE that waived off his tip-in, and in my opinion getting masterfully outcoached in the last 15 seconds cost the Braves a big W. But at least there's still a pulse! It's go time Braves!

It didn't even occur to me that McCain/Thompson didn't play until I saw this thread.

Egelseder might have injured sticks. I'm glad Singh got as many minutes as he did.

In my opinion, McCain runs the point better than SM. I think we play better as a team whenever McCain's in there, be it alone or along side Sammy. EM just seems to add a certain energy to the game that I don't see when he sits.

I disagree, EM allows players to play off him and closer on everyone else. This makes it so everyone else has to work harder to get a shot and EM has absolutely ZERO offense. SM at this point is a far better option.

15, 12, 21, 19... EM couldn't even dream of those totals at this point. I hope EM develops, but he is where he should be... On the bench.

I agree and with DSE playing well I think that he will continue to eat up EM's minutes.

totally agree...McCain has regressed this year, and has played himself completely out of the rotation at this point...
With the emergence of Simms-Edwards and with Dunson returning next year, I have a hard time believing he'll see the floor much next year either...unless he has some miraculous offensive rebirth in the offseason...
He and Sticks seem to be in the same boat, unfortunately...They can stay at BU and likely play mop up minutes for the rest of their careers here, or look into opportunities at some lower level schools to see if they can find an opportunity to get more playing time over their last couple years of eligibility...
