I wouldn't be surprised to see it come down on the football program as well. Pete Carroll said "The time was right" on moving to seattle. Ironically about 4 weeks ago the whole joe mcknight thing blew up, and we've seen in basketball recently what happens when coaches like calipari jump ship.

About **** time. This would give them a prime opportunity to come down hard on a program when they're already down. You have to figure the football side will have at least a year of transition to whatever coach they hire...not that they were good this year.

I guess being 5-15 at Oakland and 7-6 at Tennessee while publicly embarrassing yourself by your comments all year and then having recruiting violations gets you hired at a great football school like USC. I don't like USC at all so I don't care, but this hiring just seems weird.

Isn't that enough to tell the NCAA "We don't care about rules" You chase off our cheater and we will hire the next biggest cheater we can find. If lack of institutional control ever existed this is it. Oh wait they have control they just want to win however they can. I'm sure the NCAA doesn't care as long as the ratings are good, but they just gave the NCAA the finger.

Correct. I can't stand the SEC, but Tenn has always been my adopted team...until this year, because Kiffin embodies everything that is wrong with the game. He will be a PEFRECT fit at USC.
