My question is do you REALLY need a poll to form your OWN opinion?


It seems as if BOTH sides are guilty of wanting the polls numbers/votes to prove something to the "other" side.

Its the A and B's vs the C, D's and F's.

Personally I know how I feel about JL and frankly don't care what others think. Or should I say I respect how others feel so it doesn't matter to me what others think.

So IF the poll is rigged one way or the other it still won't change or affect how I feel......

For the record- before the falsified votes, both polls showed about the same distribution of votes. The majority were split fairly evenly between D and C, with a few Bs, and a rare A and F.
We will refrain from more polls for now, until the board can be upgraded to avoid another hacker attack.

I think it is ridiculous to believe that the mods of this board would fix the poll. Some newbies have really cranked up the venom around here towards the wrong people.

You'd be surprised @ to some of the stuff that goes on on this board by some in charge. You can PM if you'd like more information on where to look for definitive proof but I don't think you'd want to...besides they'd just look into it and alter what it says anyway.

I don't know that I've ever voted in any polls....and have posted some but have stayed out of these threads that keep popping up regarding all the JL stuff......I guess I could have said I agree with you dogs...it would have been easier

It can not be explained in any way no matter what spin you or whomever else puts on it. IT HAPPENED and it happened by a singular person....not by a hacker, and it is just as disturbing. It did not happen by another person that is trying to discredit this site..it clearly and definitively happened by a person that is very active on this board. He pm'ed which clarifies it wasn't a hack and it was indeed him that did but incomprehensibly could not explain how the "mix up" occured. DC we both know what happened and anyone who goes to "the other site" knows what happened and what DOES happen on this board. Just give it a rest please, you aren't fooling anyone.

B4L - I am losing track of what you are commenting on here. If you are saying when they delete post that is fine I agree with you, leave if you don't like it. If you are saying that it is OK to change posts, or rig polls I would disagree. Neither of those have been proven to be done. That would be over the line in my mind though.

I hope it was a Hack from outside the Board. I just don't understand why someone would hack the site and bother to change a poll. The only two scenarios that make sense to me are someone who hates the site (maybe has been booted) Maybe from Valleytalk or the PJSTAR site. Or a mod on here. It doesn't make sense for someone totally unfamiliar to the site to mess with a stupid poll. Anyway up until a couple weeks ago I always agreed with your posts. So I hope that is what you mean about them running the site how they want.

I'm not sure where this began, but if I were a detective I would start with the first person who brought up the possibility of a rigged poll. Without knowing who it is, I would call that person a "person of interest".

Hey...before that happened (and still now) I follow the rules...i'm still on the board aren't I? I haven't gotten banned. I haven't brought it up all that much before now have I? Stop accusing me of these things I didn't do. I'm just saying there are things on this board that shouldn't happen. Do I complain all the time...I don't think so. In fact most of my posts are about bradley not about how the mods delete or treat us unfairly. Now it is obviously since we are talking about it but other than this I keep to myself.

And for the record it's not like I was a bad poster and they chose me to pick on. See how you would feel if you followed the rules..minded your own business..and then something happens to you on this board that you didn't ask for or want or deserve at all. You'd have a bit of a grudge against it also. Yes they do get to do what they want to a certain extent. But the accusations of a rigged poll by the mods to get on OTHER PEOPLE'S accounts to vote is crossing the line of "them getting to do what they want". Again I am NOT saying that is definitely what happened...or that it is even what i think happened...but we are specifically talking about the poll incident and if that is indeed the case whichever person with the power to do that should feel ashamed if it did happen. How would you feel as a member of bradleyfans if that turned out to be true? How would you feel if a post of yours got altered completely and then used a reference later on when it is not what you yourself said...those type of things cross ethical lines that no matter what amount of bills they pay can justify. If you feel the need to do that stuff..regardless of if you pay the bills...you should not be running a site. Just my 2 cents.
