Hmmm. I hadn't thought of that. Sorry to see him go. He was a great spokesman for the team, and a great coach. He just could not get the recruits needed to compete in the Big East. But frankly, I still don't know why DePaul chose to move into the Big East in the first place! That may be the first thing that needs to be rectified. They need to be moved out of there ASAP.
Les has probably already mailed his vacancy application letter to Depaul LOL. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at least attempt to bolt with his son about to graduate from Notre Dame and his Chicago roots.
You may be right Jason. . .and I actually think it would be a very good opportunity/situation for JL. And I would imagine he would get some glowing recommendations from higher ups at Bradley, to boot.

I think that would be a good move for Les at a good time for him. I doubt it will happen, and I hope he rights the ship at BU and stays for a LONG time.
Book it, DePaul will not hire another mid-major coach....no matter what the "experts" claim!
They might elevate one of their current assistants right now or go for an Izzo, or Keady assistant, or another top level assistant...
The only way Les ever leaves BU is either through firing or because he can't physically coach anymore. Unlike most coaches who dream of taking themselves to a final 4, Les dreams of taking BU and BU only to a final 4, and thats why he's so valuable to BU. It will be near impossible to find a coach to come the the Valley who will be coaching at BU to see the program succeed rather than wanting to succeed themselves so they can jump ship to the big time.

So you're saying if Les is fired he'll go back into the corporate world? Or, are you saying he won't be fired..... ever?
Whenever JL is done coaching BU I think he'll either take time off and watch Tyler play in college (if TL is still in college), help his brother coach high school basketball up in Chicago, or get a job with an NBA team either as an assistant or as a front office guy. JL has had a very successful life and I don't think he really would need to work anymore if he didn't want to. I think his days in corporate America are over. Why go back to that when you can be around the game of basketball for a living? I know if I could I sure as heck would!
Jim Les will not coach at another college other than BU.
I have said that for along time and that was one of the nice things w/ getting JL as our coach is that he won't be looking. The only job I could ever see him leaving for would be the NBA if it was the right offer.
