This game was not won because of superior game coaching.
They played better, made their shots, and rebounded better.

What about Hinson? I'm thinking he could be looking for a head coaching gig. I still like Jim's ability to draw up a play out of timeout. Too bad there aren't enough time-outs in a game. I hope this team turns it around for him.

DC I agree with you 100%. It was not decided by game coaching. It was decided in the off season. Counzo was 3-15 last year and he assembled the players that made the difference tonight.

Jim is great out of time outs. Always has been. Hard to dispute that. But it begs the question as to why we we've been so bad at the end of games if we've got a coach that's good at drawing up stuff out of time outs. I don't have the answer to that, that's for sure.

So...let me get this straight...it is allowable for everyone to post the good old 'broken record' comment or picture in response to any critical comments...but when I post it (tongue in cheek) in response to your comment, it gets deleted? Laughably predictable.

I really like Hinson and think he could be a great salesman for a program. Unfortunately, it seems his coaching style is unexciting ..... a lot like Coach Mo's.

Offseason work, practices, and pre-game prep were the difference. I agree, not much that took place coaching-wise during the game made the difference. Unfortunately, the responsibility still falls on the same people.

Da who do you blame/give credit to. The buck has to stop somewhere. The reason the play better and rebound better is the coaching.

You make a GREAT point BB! MSU really looks good this year and is definately a top 3 or 4 team in the MVC. Right now, I'm afraid, we're playing like a 6-8 team.

I agree Da_Coach! but we also need to add that they wanted it a lot more then our guys. We lacked a defensive intensity that I'm not sure at this level if it can be taught. You either have it or you do not. You have to want to and enjoy stopping guys (MJ just loved to stop someone and embarass them playing D as much as on O). Besides DSE and WE I did not see that in any of the players. I saw where our guys were jogging back on D, never ever good. You need to sprint back. If you get winded then put your hand up and come out. It seems like they want to rest themselves for O.

I'd have to believe DSE will be a starter next game! Prediction SM, DSE, AW, TB, WE.

OK I will be off the board for a bit. I've spent wat to much time lately. I'll be checking for the occasional PM but I am not going to get myself worked up by what others have to say about the program one way or the other. I have zero control and I'd bet neither does anyone else on this board. So good bye, good night and go BU!

They are deep and they are good.JL has insinuated there are internal problems with minutes and numbers. That is not a rumor JL said it on his post game show. Until he gets that resolved we will continue to have big problems. Hope JL gets this figured out in a hurry . IT IS HARD TO WATCH,

You'll be back sooner rather than later. You're an addict and just can't stay away.
