Apparently, I am not to blame for BU's bad luck. Watched them gut out the win in OT on Channelsurfing.com.

I'll always give credit where credit is due. BU pulled it out in OT in the biggest game of their season so far, and, perhaps of JL's post '05 coaching career. Props to the players who contributed to the turnaround in OT.

No one would be more happy than I to be wrong about BU and JL this year. Hopefully this game will lead to good things this year, and especially next year, so we can enjoy the Braves.

It just burns me up to watch this team yo yo around each year with the same mistakes, poor shooting, lack of defense/rebounding...Win vs Illini, win on the road at Drake, then down in the dumps again at home. The game tonight was another example of how maddening it can be to root for this team/coach.

I did like Jim's rotation tonight other than Singh getting too many minutes again.
Liar! 4-2 vs MSU Book it!

Haha I'll definitely take it though
I don't know what to say so I'll just go ditto with your post and agree that I'll take it and also agree with you that nothing is going to be easy this season. It's going to be interesting to watch!

Doesn't ISU (Trees) play us again this year at their place?

Didn't they make 8 in a row at the end of the game against ISU Red in an incredible late comeback win late last season?

A win is a win is a win is a win is a win

If you repeat this enough, you'll convince yourself too.

Strategy and execution aside, this is a big mental hurdle that needed to be jumped at some point, and closing out the game in OT is a good first step.

I'm impressed with a win against any team who shoots 47% from 3 pt and makes 16 of them, and most were contested 3's at that. Props to the trees for the shooting and not giving up and glad to see braves could dig down and pull together to hold on through that. A lot of teams would have given up against a shooting performance like that in the second half.

Love your Avatar and my names not Mike Barnett. It is a win and I'm happy about that, but we can't continue to play in spurts. not sure of the reasons for it but it won't get the job done in the next couple of weeks. Glad to see TB and DSE back. Its gotta help getting DSE some minutes and I think we are really gonna like Jake. My biggest complaint tonight is FREE THROWS. WE got a win when FREE THROWS could have cost us dearly. Not sure why we can't make 80% from 15' with no one guarding them but it is what it is.

CBI-esque crowd tonight. I'll give the impending blizzard some credit, but the total crash and burn of the season I think has to take most of it.

This team is what it is - Maddening.

Agreed...They weren't forced to make contested 3s all night....They made a couple tough, contested threes, but the majority of them were absolutely wide open...
I remember Printy hitting two of them where there was no BU defender within 10 feet of him...hard to figure out...

There were very few contested 3"s in the 2nd half and that is why Ind.St. was able to make so many of them, missed freethrows was once again the other reason why we almost lost the game , our defense is not good and it needs to change as our players seem to be scrambling around so much when they get screened that leaves to wide open shots, whatever happened to just switching off on screens and not leaving the shooter, if this continues we will be in for a long season, too bad we play terrible defense because our offense is good enough to challenge for a championship.

A wins is a win is a win. What happened last night is nothing to brag about, but this group desperately needed a home W and found a way to get it done.

Grassman, you know this is a team that actually makes their living by driving...
rightfully our guys were NOT expected to defend aggressively 4 feet beyond the arc...
Indiana State hit 11-18 3pt attempts in the second half, with many coming from 3-5 feet beyond the arc..
I believe there was next to nothing more our guys could have done on most of those shots, but in the end they stopped falling and we won...
