I agree 100%. The shots from the elbow and the short corner need to be in Jordan's arsenal.

      BU wins!!!

Right now unfortunately, we're relying too heavily on these 3 for production. A stronger bench next year hopefully will be the answer to a lot of things.
Our bench got outscored 25-0 last game, DSE had 3 pts. and we still almost won.
I agree. If one current player (or WE) steps up to help compensate for TB's departure, and a couple of Geno's new recruits (maybe a JUCO or two) can show me that they are capable of scoring off the bench, we will win at least 4 or 5 more games next year. That's not great, but at least we would be trending in the right direction for a more substantial move up the Valley ladder in year 3.

I don't think Geno will have the luxury of 9 years, he has the big contract now and the pressure is on. Produce a winning team in 3 or 4 seasons or else your out the door. Next season should be a good measure on his recruiting ability with Shayok in his 2nd year, along with Pickett and Bell joining the team. Pickett will replace Brown, Bell might send Lemon over to shooting guard, Egolf should send Shayok to the bench and Wells might possibly send Prosser to the bench if he starts out well. Could be a whole new starting lineup.

I predict at least 1 or 2 players leaving, Hodges or Stewart will be gone i'm sure.

Well, that's not a whole roster turnover then. Obviously our four or five best remaining players will be back next year, but if the new recruits work out well, then yes, they could push some veteran players to the bench. That works for me if a returning player is not working out too well.

I just don't see many coaches literally "firing" the whole team they inherited in year one. Obviously WL, WE, JP, JE, DSE, and SS have value and talent. But the key next year is to determine which ones are starter worthy and which ones will see more bench time. If the newer recruits slide into Geno's system right away, perhaps (and that's a big if) we might be a little better next year than many are predicting. I do think though we still have more growing pains to go through first, but Geno did show people he is more than capable of taking a new team and winning right away. But the key is they have to be his recruits that fit into the system he has established.

I don't have much doubt that if we had a couple guys off the bench that could score 7-8 ppg and that give our big 3 more rest, we would be looking at 3 or more wins in conf. play now. But the reality is that if our starters don't all play well, we come up short...sometimes WAY short.

I'm with you on this. If we have the luxury of playing JP at the 4 than all we'll need next year is a true PG and a shooter. I'm not counting on a Fr. to come in and be an impact starter. We will probably need to hope that GF has his eyes on one or two JUCO players.

Agreed. And keep in mind that even JUCO's usually take half a season to a season to adjust to Division I play, so even that won't be an immediate fix. However, JUCO's do have more experience up front, so hopefully they would adjust to Valley play quicker than most freshmen do. Not that I'm hoping that we can't snag an impact freshman, but that's usually more the exception than the rule.

Need at least 2 if not 3 players to go elsewhere and find some that can contribute immediately, I think Egolf is a 4 and Prosser a 5 because J.P. is better with his back to the basket and does not have a 15 ft. jumper, Wells could be of some help in giving us 10 to 12 minutes a game , we need a decent bench which we have not had for awhile and it will help even more in that the starters will get pushed more in practices to get better, if we had a decent bench this season I see us with at least 4 more wins.

Who's the true point guard coming in next year? Bell is not a true point guard.

Bell is as close to a true point guard as we're going to get -- the better ones like Larry Austin and others like Fabyon Harris were either ruled out from coming here or will be good enough to get offers from way biger schools.
