5 MVC games today 1/3/10

All 10 MVC teams are in action today.
In a 1:05 game (CST) Northern Iowa and Missouri State are tied 34-34 at halftime.

BU at WSU and Creighton at Evansville start at 2:05 pm.
SIU at IlSU and InSU at Drake start later tonight.

Well Creighton finally gets off the snide, and it looks like UNI and WSU will be the two teams fighting it out for the top. Don't count out MSU and SIU either. If we can't be there, I'd at least like to see at least two teams out the Valley dancing this year. I'm a Bradley fan first and foremost, but a Valley fan a close second.

If SIU plays as well as they played in the 2nd half against BU, they can win. But I think ISU will get back on track and win this game.

ISU-blue had their way at Drake this evening. Kevin McKenna is doing a wonderful job and in my opinion is in the top tier of Valley coaches. The Braves better be prepared Wednesday night.

I think one of Dana's problems is the loss of McKenna and Greg Grensing from his staff. Assistant coaches are indeed important to success.

actually in a way, SIU went 1-1 yesterday...
they lost yesterday at ISU...
but they could consider that they pick up one "victory" from the 2007-2008 season, as USC is forfeiting all their wins from that season due to OJ Mayo being a professional..
