  • The Big Question (Murph--Askin you here too!)

I always get back to the one thing for the program. For me its been the same since I got into high school and started following the college game.

Murph: You and I know we haven't always been on the same side of these debates....I am seriously interested in what someone else, who hasn't always agreed with me thinks about the future.

    For BU

I believe, the graduating players and staying off the police blotter is a given. No excuses for that stuff. JL and Mo did a wonderful job at this.

    Program wise:
BU should be one of the top 100 teams in the country every year.

    To Translate Further:
    1 NCAA every 4 years
At least 2 of the other 3 should be an NIT birth

If thats being done, the other things will surely fall into place (See the lack of success in the league, and tournament)

    Thats all I want.

A former high school coach, and Bradley grad said it to me this way "At Bradley, the NIT is the floor. You don't get points for that. You get points for NCAA births"

I agree 100% top priority although both coaches have had their share of turds to deal with.

I would like to see a top 3 or 4 conference finish every year and battling for a championship every 4 years, the NCAA and NIT will take care of itself from there along with being a top 100 team

I was never a get Jim Les guy and I surely didn't think Wayne McClain was qualified, I wanted a new coach period. They picked JL so that's the guy I have supported for 8 years. It's obvious now that the only thing he has accomplished is the fluke sweet 16 year, now IMHO it's time to move forward and look for another guy.

I mostly agree with you. I certainly did not, and do not want McClain as coach here.

I wouldn't say the S16 was a fluke, but just the right mix of players and situations.

However, I also feel this is Mo V 2.0 developing here.
