More than one party has been at fault here.

ALSO look at where WE COULD HAVE BEEN if we had the will to win and PLAYED TO WIN instead of PLAYING NOT TO LOSE.
I blame the coach because we should never have been in that position to start with. I'd have had EM play up to the 2 minute mark and then bring in a fresh SM to control those last 2 minutes. I also like substituting guys in and out for defensive and offensive possessions when you have TOs and you are ahead. JL has not been managing the games that well this year IMO. Something is just not clicking. I'm a JL fan but he needs someone on his bench that is not a yes man!

I know that you and some other posters have been saying that....

It could also be an opportunity if BU spends the $$$ for a top assistant(s).

Sam had a lot of interest from D1s but he verballed to Bradley in August before his senior season. He wanted to play for BU and Coach Les, and knew he would have playing time right away. He had a fantastic senior season and would certainly have gotten many more D1 offers. You don't have to believe me, just ask anyone familiar with Illinois basketball. Better yet, Sam's dad is at every game, ask him.
Coach did you ever find out who offered SM? I do not have any resources or know where to look.

          • Sam had other offers, and had interest from numerous other midmajors and a couple Big Ten schools. His offers were limited because he committed to Bradley in August before his senior season.

Are you a student? Did Sam pass you in the hall without saying "hi"? Maybe steal a girl you had a crush on?

Not only was Sam one of the top rated PG's in Illinois while in highschool, but he was pursued by some quality D-1 programs -- DePaul, Wisc-GB, Loyola, and of course BU!

In fact, I'd venture to say that if he was not a "legacy" and had not committed to BU so soon he probably would have had many other offers.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I think you are definately in the minority when it comes to your evaluation of Maniscalco.

This was my response to your negative Sam M. post 4/08.... and you've had many others as well. You've been dissing Sam since April 2008 BUFAN. I'll ask again: Did Sam steal your girlfriend? What's your beef Novello?
