I have never booed the players or the coaches but I understood why some chose to do so after what transpired the other night, very unacceptable to lose 3 games in a row at home to teams I believe we are better then, unless changes are made I am afraid BU will be playing in St.Louis on thurs. night which is unacceptable for a team that has the talent to finish in the top 3 of the conference.
The best thing that can happen is for DSE to get back sooner as he is my answer for our best point guard on this team.
These are the players based on performance that deserve to start when DSE returns:
DSE
A.W
CR
TB
WE
They give us the best chance of winning and would be a very hard team to beat.
Let's see what happens next home game if we stand and make some noise in crunch time and then see if they respond.
At least until you catch he!! for standing up from the people SITTING behind you!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I completely agree and was thinking of that very same thing about an hour ago!

funny thing...the people where I sit will stand.....they don't usually start it but will when others do......Besides not evreyone has to stand. If some stand and others yell......it might make a difference.......I don't think we have much to lose by trying to react differently during crunch time than we have the last few games....

I've personally seen more than one argument between fans because someone was standing up and cheering on our team!

I've had a few instances where I've been told in a not so friendly manner to sit down. Of course I was sitting in some very very nice (read expensive) seats that I was lucky enough to get when someone else couldn't use them. That being said I didn't want to say anything back since that area has a lot of high dollar boosters sitting in it AND they were my boss' tickets.
Can't WE ALL just stand and yell and give some energy to OUR TEAM when they so desperately need it? Apparently those of us who do so don't pay enough for our tickets.
Just curious Beni -- What would you suggest the current administration do to show they are dedicated to fielding a top tier Valley program? I would argue that they have done, and are doing, all that they can to allow this to happen. They have given Les free reign to hire/fire his assistants (or have they?). They have brought in someone who appears to be a qualified AD who has led his previous institution to multiple sports successes). The new athletic facilities have moved forward at a rapid pace.
I like that our administration demands academic excellence and high character from our athletes. I would not want us to become SIU, Tennesse, UK, KU, or some of the other programs that are filled with derelicts, convicts, and the unintelligent.
Also, I'm not sure I agree that the MVC is better today than it was a decade ago. I'd say it's about the same.
Ok fair question! My main point is here...I look around at some of the teams that we play and see a bench stocked with assistant coaches. Last year, I had seats behind the Pacific bench and I swear that they had an assistant coach in charge of washing the jock straps! I realize that in itself does not make a winning team. Does anyone have an idea what we pay our assistants? I look at our current assistants and with the exception of one assistant coach, I don't see a lot of experience even for what I would think of for a qualified assistant coach. Certainly a top assistant is a priority for BU, but are we going to pay the money required to get that quality assistant? Given what I have seen on our bench, I would argue that we could use 2 new assistants. Someone remind me, but didn't Versace have Barone and Keeling at the same time? In short, good coaches rely on and delegate authority to their assistants. I think that we need to ante up in the assistant coach category but am not certain BU will do so.
I am also very much in agreement with you about not getting derelicts et al into the program like other schools.
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
No Last time I went to one of those places, I lost three layers of skin scrubbing the perfume and body lotion off me, trying to get rid of my trail
Don't forget about the giltter!!!

Also, I just wanted to state the obvious. I'm sure it's been said somewhere else, but I don't know when and where so here is what makes me absolutely sick to my stomach when I look at our record...
IF we would have closed the three games we blew...we would be sitting at:
9-3 overall, 2-0 in the valley which would put us in a three-way tie for first (third place if you consider overall records). I'd be happy with that and I think everyone else here would be too as well as the NCAA selection committee (at this very early point in the season).
How much of this blame can be put on the coach(es) and how much on the player(s)? We lost the SIU game because we couldn't stop turning over the ball in the last minute and a half. Coaches to blame? I'm not so sure. I'm not defending the coaching staff as I don't feel they are doing the best job, but let's not cast all the blame on JL and company. More than one party has been at fault here.
ALSO look at where WE COULD HAVE BEEN if we had the will to win and PLAYED TO WIN instead of PLAYING NOT TO LOSE.
Ehh. I'm getting all worked up before today's game. The heck with it. The past is the past. Lets win TODAY and build on that for the rest of this season.

Yes, you can blame the coaches. First, they recruited the players that turn the ball over in crunch time, they coach those players what to do in crunch time, and they put those players in that position. Yes, it is easy to throw some blame at the coaches.
I'm pining for a point guard like Billy Wright who may not have been a good shooter, but could take control of the ball and always could break a press, made good decisions, and rarely turned the ball over. Neither of our point guards have those qualities on a consistent basis (except the not being able to shoot part ).

I've been saying that getting a top asst. if Jl is on the hot seat next year may be a challenge
