While Warren and Osiris were putting on a show, most other "stars" in the league were no-shows.

P'Allen 1 for 8, 3 points, 3 turnovers.
Kevin Dillard 3 for 11, 6 points, 4 turnovers.
Kwadzo Ahelegbe 3 for 13, 12 points.
Adam Koch 2 for 8, 8 points.
Toure' Murry 1 for 8, 3 points.
J.T. Durley 3 for 10, 10 points.
Jake Kelly 3 points, 0 rebounds.

Never have I considered P'Crap a star...more a Showboat than anything.

Also can I add that Durley is just coming into more PT and has yet to really prove anything about his game.

Kelly is a transfer who suffered a bad MCL injury

Dillard and Murry are both Soph. who while expected to be their teams #1 will most certainly have those type of nights as they aren't real true superstars, otherwise, why would they be at SIU and Wichita St?


Finally, everyone knows that Koch lives at the foul line and thats where he generates the majority of his scoring. Without cheap foul calls and bail outs, he wouldn't average in double figs.

Ahelegbe is a stud, and I truly believe that after watching how he ripped BU apart in the tournament last year down the stretch of the game, but every player is not without a bad shooting night.



That being said, and as much as I hate to say it, Osiris will be tough to remove from PoY.

Can't anything be done about the terribly weak schedule that Illinois State continues to have year after year and the negative impact that it has on the rest of the league? Obviously the coach does not listen or care and continues on with his own agenda. Apparently, a few other teams seem to follow ISU's lead as well.

I see that it's working.... now many of the Valley beat writers and even some in the national press are also
pointing to the charade they call a non-conference schedule, and calling them out on it

I would argue that as our only preseason all Valley selection Tony Freeman is our star player and he had 19 pts, 4 assts, 3 stls, and shot 70% in 24 minutes so I would say he had an alright game.
