I think part of the reason for this is the matchup zone Drake was playing...those screens don't do much against the type of zone Drake was playing.

And was it me, or did we seem to counter the zone with a bit of a dribble-drive motion? Or maybe I'm playing too much NCAA Basketball 10 and suddenly everything looks like dribble-drive motion...

I saw a couple times where BU set a double high screen with Will and TB (I think) just above the free-throw line. I like this much better than our big guys running around 30 feet from the hoop. I hope this is a permanent change in our offense.

Then I have to ask if you watched the second half of last night's game? Warren had two (maybe three, can't recall if I'm forgetting one) big time, in the paint, absolute "weight room" baskets... And in the second half he was mixing it up in the paint on rebounds. He was tough, aggressive, and effective last night.

BTW-- that "blocking foul" you have the picture from had me standing up and yelling at the ref. I would have had no problem with a no-call since Will was pretty close to the basket, but he was set for about 3 weeks before the contact and it had nothing to do with any kind of blocking foul. The Drake fans around me agreed after they stopped laughing at me for jumping up and screaming at the guy.

Great points about Warren fish Warren was anything but "soft" last night. I think his tentative and inconsistent play this year could, however, easily be misconstrued as "soft". Hopefully, AW has his "mojo" back and we'll be seeing more of the same as our co-team leader (with Sammy) leads BU to the promised land.

and NOT ONCE did a moving screen call get made against Drake!!!

Jim Les was even pleading a couple times, but last night's refs really let the Drake guys get away with some awful, bulldozer-like screens!

BTW- the Drake site ha some pics...

            Great "D" by Will!

Good job, Sam, make him go left

This one was a horrible call...Will was fully set and outside the vague no-charge area!
This one should have been an offensive foul...am I right or what??

Those 3 refs were just bad, one of the worst crews in the Valley.

One more thing, the offensive charging call against Warren was pathetic.

Yeah, and there was one against Eastman that was a joke as well.

Most of the calls were close....THAT was absolutley the worst call I have seen in many many years.
