  • Welcome Back Mr. Warren!!!!!!!!!

Thats what Ive been waiting to see all year. Smooth, calm, confident, clutch, hes back. The Andrew Warren we saw in the second half tonight is the AW Ive been waiting for all year. This gives me some hope.

If Brown, Roberts, Warren, Egolf, and SM all show up at the same time we can be a pretty strong team in the valley.

    Great game Andrew!

PS We even made FTs down the stretch!

As I said in another thread.........

I know many on this board are ga-ga over Taylor Brown but Andrew Warren MUST be the straw that stirs this drink....... and TB needs to realize this as well and keep his ego in check.

This team has had VERY poor chemistry; it MUST realize that SM leads this team and it goes through AW with TB and CR in supporting roles. JMO while observing the last several games.

Andrew Warren has always been there. The kid missed a year with a significant injury. 10 days between games for a whole month didn't help him get his groove back at all (Thanks JL, VHB, and whoever else contributed to this terrible scheduling). AW is an all-conference caliber guard...but he needs some help, and not just from TB. Great game by AW tonight...never doubted YOU or your ability.

Yup, Warren was out for an entire year keep in mind. And when we can get our other guys rolling along with Warren, I think Thursday can be safely avoided...

                HUH?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but would we have even been in this game had Taylor not played like he did in the 1st half?!

                Dude filled the stat sheet...

Andrew had a wonderful 2nd half, but you're not exactly giving credit where credit is due there...

Supporting role...you should try and watch a little closer next game...

AW is way to soft to be a superstar or the valley player of the year.

I think you are both right! Bradley needed superb efforts from both Warren and Brown to win that game. I don't see how we can select one over the other as being more important last night.
Andrew is looking like the player he was at the end of the 2007-2008 season, and I think he will end up as one of the top 5 scorers in the MVC and an All-MVC player.
TB is still learning what he has to do to succeed in this league. He played very few minutes last season, so this is his first real experience playing against the starters on the other MVC teams. I expect we'll see some more ups and downs through the year with TB, but he will be a star for the next 2 1/2 years.
Nice to realize all the top players from last night's game- Warren, Brown, Maniscalco, Egolf- will all be back next year along with Dodie, and the freshmen.

                      I agree...

One thing that hasn't been said just yet is the job Chris Roberts did on Josh Young....

Up until the last 3 minutes of the game Young had 8 points.

Here's one thing we both agree on SLB. CRob made just as much difference in the outcome of this game as TB, AW, and SM.

(And for the record, I was not saying TB was unimportant just that I think AW needs to be "the man" for this BU team to be successful. I firmly believe that SM and AW have the best chemistry to be the one-two punch to lead this team this year and that TB needs to play more of a supporting role to AW. That does not mean TB's role is unimportant. I just don't think he should be the featured player on this year's team -- especially with the offense Les runs. I really think the chemistry on this team has been seriously lacking this year and that that will be Les' biggest challenge in getting this team to play consistently)

Anyone else notice that the offense was tweaked a bit and Will was entrenched in the post and not out 30' from the basket setting ridiculous screens?

on the same line...did you note that all the interchangable Drake big men were all way outside setting moving screens to free up the jump shooters,
and NOT ONCE did a moving screen call get made against Drake!!!

Jim Les was even pleading a couple times, but last night's refs really let the Drake guys get away with some awful, bulldozer-like screens!

BTW- the Drake site ha some pics...

                            Great "D" by Will!

Good job, Sam, make him go left

This one was a horrible call...Will was fully set and outside the vague no-charge area!
This one should have been an offensive foul...am I right or what??

Yes, I do recall Chris and Sammy running into a couple down the last few minutes of the game....

I just question what their guys do differently to not get them called....

We must be blatantly obvious when we do it.
